Prayer for a change of heart

I have received a fantastic job offer in another city and my children & I want to move there and make a fresh start for ourselves since my divorce. This opportunity will provide more stability financially and job security for myself so that I know that I can provide for my children. However, my exhusband is refusing to "lift" the boundary restriction on the residency of our children that is in our child custody decree. The kids want to move, I want to move, it would be the best thing for us, but he is refusing to even consider it. Please pray that if it is God's will that he will have a change of heart, that he will try to think of what's best for his children and for me, other than only thinking of himself, please pray that we can work this out amicably for all involved and that God guides us through this leap of faith that we are taking.

Dear Lord,

Please help this mother and guide her to your will. Let her former husband see what is best for his children and gain a new understanding that is based soley on love and not for other reasons. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
