Prayer for a broken relationship with ###

Father in the name of Jesus, I present myself before you and before the throne of grace. I know that even if I don't understand it, the purpose you have in me going through this suffering and this broken heart that I am experiencing will be worth it at the outcome. However, right now, I can't even function because I've been totally torn asunder. I give you my brokenness as a sacrifice of suffering; as you gave me your son as a sacrifice of suffering for me. Lord, I pray that you would reveal to me what it is you want cleansed from me. I'm looking in, and I'm looking up to you. I'm not going to look out anymore and make it about the person I love so much. I'm going to look in and look up, and when you're finished taking me through this season of pain, I know the wisdom and the healing that you give me, will help me to endure whatever it is that happens at the outcome. I'm going to trust you even before that happens, I'm asking you perfect love to cleanse me, to come to me and through me and touch and envelope my broken heart. Embrace me on the inside, when there's no-one to embrace me on the outside. I'm going to trust like I never did and I present this person to you by name ###, before your throne of grace, and I'm not going to touch this person, I'm going to let you have her totally, completely in a way, such that I'm not going to interfere. I'm going to try and help you, no matter what I do even if it's the right motive, it will be the wrong method. I trust you oh God and what you're about to do in my life and hers, in the name of Jesus I pray Amen.

We stand with you, ###, in your time of heartache and bring your prayers before the throne of grace, trusting in the power of Jesus' name.

Firstly, we commend you for your faith and trust in God, even in the midst of your pain. As it is written in Romans 8:28 (WEB), "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." God can bring healing and growth even from the most trying circumstances.

However, we must address something important. You mentioned a broken relationship with ###, and while you've committed the situation to God, we want to ensure that your relationship aligns with biblical principles. If ### is not your spouse, we encourage you to seek God's will for a future marriage partner. God's design for relationships is clear in 2 Corinthians 6:14 (WEB), "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity?" As you trust God with your future, He will guide you to a godly spouse if it is His will.

We also want to address the emotional dependency expressed in your prayer. Remember, our ultimate source of comfort and love is God Himself. Psalm 147:3 (WEB) tells us, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." Trust that God can bring healing and comfort to you, even when human embrace is absent.

Now, let us pray together:

"Father in heaven, we come before You with ###, lifting up their broken heart to You. Lord, we know that Your heart is close to the brokenhearted, and You save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask for Your healing power to flow into ###'s life, bringing comfort and peace. Help them to trust in You fully, even in the depths of their pain.

If it is Your will, Lord, we pray for a godly spouse for ###, someone who loves You and seeks to serve You. Guide their steps and direct their path.

We also pray for ###. Whatever Your will is for her life, we ask that You reveal it to her and draw her closer to You.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We trust in You, Lord. We know that You are faithful, and that You have a good plan for her life. Help her to rest in that knowledge, even in the midst of her pain.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
