Prayer fir protection and deliverance

Please pray for my husband to stop drinking and got to protect him and our family and marrige from seen and unseen danger. I’ve prayed this for years and I’m tired . When he’s sober he’s such a good person. But when he’s drinking it’s a gamble of what kind of mood he’ll be in. He has been depressed and making all wrong decisions due to drinking and its effecting our home family and marrige especially with new born child

Lord, I call on your name to heal him of this affliction. Give him rest from this torment. Heal our hearts. Heal our family. Make him sober Lord we need only you can do miracles In Jesus name, amen.

We hear the deep weariness in your heart, sister in Christ, and we stand with you in fervent prayer for your husband’s deliverance and your family’s protection. The bondage of alcohol is a heavy chain, and the enemy seeks to use it to destroy marriages, families, and lives, but we serve a God who breaks every chain and sets the captive free. Your husband’s struggle is not just against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of darkness, and we must fight this battle on our knees with the authority of Jesus’ name.

The Bible warns us in 1 Peter 5:8, "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." Alcohol is one of the enemy’s tools to steal peace, kill joy, and destroy relationships, but we declare that your husband is not his prey. We rebuke the spirit of addiction in Jesus’ name and command it to loose its grip. We also rebuke any spirit of depression that has taken hold, for the Word says in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."

Your husband’s sobriety is not just a physical battle, it is a spiritual one. We pray that God would reveal to him the root of this struggle, whether it be unhealed pain, unforgiveness, or a void only Christ can fill. The Bible tells us in James 4:7, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We pray your husband would submit himself fully to God, turning away from this sin and seeking accountability, counsel, and deliverance through the power of the Holy Spirit.

We also lift up your marriage and your newborn child, for the enemy seeks to destroy what God has joined together. We declare that no weapon formed against your family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that God will restore what has been broken. We pray for wisdom for you, dear sister, to set godly boundaries while still extending grace, as the Word instructs in Ephesians 4:2-3, "With all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love, being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace."

You are not alone in this fight. We stand with you, praying that God would give you strength, patience, and faith as you wait on Him. We declare that your husband will experience freedom, that your marriage will be restored, and that your family will walk in the peace and protection of the Lord. We pray for divine intervention, whether through a miracle of instant deliverance or a process of healing and restoration. Either way, we trust that God is working.

Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious family to You. We ask that You would break the chains of addiction in this husband’s life and set him free from the torment of alcohol. Lord, we pray for a supernatural encounter with Your presence that would shatter the hold of this sin. Give him a hunger for righteousness and a hatred for the things that bring destruction. Heal his mind, body, and spirit, and restore the man You created him to be.

We pray for this wife, Lord, give her strength, wisdom, and peace as she navigates this difficult season. Protect her heart from bitterness and resentment, and fill her with hope as she trusts in You. We declare that her faith will not be in vain, and that she will see the fruit of her prayers.

For their marriage, we ask that You would rebuild what has been broken, restore intimacy and trust, and fill their home with Your peace. Protect their newborn child from the effects of this struggle, and let this little one grow up in a home filled with Your love and truth.

We rebuke every spirit of depression, addiction, and destruction in Jesus’ name, and we command them to flee. We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. We pray for divine intervention, Lord, whether through a miracle or a process of healing, let Your will be done.

Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your faithfulness and declare that victory is already won through Christ Jesus. In His mighty name we pray, Amen.

We hear how tired you are, years of praying through the same heartache can drain anyone’s hope. But your love for your husband and your family is so evident, and we believe God sees every exhausted prayer you’ve lifted. Addiction is a tangled thing; it’s not just a bad habit he can snap out of. It pulls at the body, the mind, and the spirit, and it often leaves the people who love him feeling just as trapped. Yet none of that is beyond the reach of a God who specializes in breathing life into dead ends.

While you keep praying, and we’ll pray with you, you don’t have to carry this alone. A group like Al-Anon or a Christian family support group can be a lifeline. There you’ll find others who truly get it, and you’ll gain practical wisdom and steadiness for your own soul. If your husband ever becomes willing, a doctor or a counselor who understands addiction could be a huge step, sometimes God uses those hands to begin the healing.

Father, we lift up this wife who feels worn thin. Wrap her in Your peace right now. Shield this home and that precious newborn from every danger, seen and unseen. Break the grip of alcohol on her husband, give him moments of clarity and the courage to reach for help. Restore what the enemy has tried to steal, and let hope flicker again in their marriage. We ask all of this in Jesus’ name.

The long trial of your faith is indeed wearisome, and the enemy whispers that God’s ear is shut, that He will never move His arm to work deliverance for you. But this arrow is shot from the pit; pay it no heed. The Lord has not forgotten your tears, nor the cries you have poured out in the watches of the night. He knows that the man reeling home, bringing untold miseries upon his family, is not the husband you see in his sober hours, but sin, that deceitful poison, makes a playground of the soul. Yet recall this: deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from its guilt. Where you look for justification, there must you also look for sanctification. You cannot break the chains his own hand has forged; neither can you carry his soul to safety. He must be brought forth by a greater than Moses, and that Captain is Christ Jesus, who has already found a ransom for all who trust in Him.

So continue in supplication, not as one beating the air, but as one who shoots the arrow of the Lord’s deliverance. Prayer is the instrument, though the power is all of God. Is there family prayer in your home? That well where you bring each child, each trouble? Do not let bitterness or fatigue silence your voice at the mercy seat. Bring your new-born babe, your fears, your husband’s name, and spread them before the throne. Yet, while you pray, take care not to enable the very evil you lament. To smile at sin, to cover it over with a false peace, is to handle serpents. In a true marriage, husband and wife become one flesh; how can that be where one gives himself to a bottle and the other must dread his return? This is not the union God intends. You may, with gentle firmness, set such bounds as love itself demands for the safety of your soul and your little one, while still leaving the door wide for repentance.

And let your own heart take courage from the great spoil of deliverance. Did you not say God can do miracles? Truly, He brought Israel forth with silver and gold, and He can restore the years the locust has eaten in your home. The Lord has chastened you sorely, but He has not given you over unto death. In due time, you shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. The clock of mercy struck in heaven the hour of my own deliverance when I least expected it; so may it be for your household. Wait on the Lord with renewed expectation. Seek out the quiet promises in the night watches. And when the morning comes, though the answer tarry, remember that His delays are not denials, they are the maturing of a mercy that will make your mouth sing with a double joy. Fear not. He is still the God who says, “I am married unto you,” and He will not forsake His own.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
