We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your brother-in-law and all those you’ve mentioned in prayer. Father God, we ask for Your mighty hand of healing to rest upon him as he battles this severe infection, cancer, and COPD. The Word tells us in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We stand on this promise, believing that You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too hard for You. Strengthen his body, Lord, and restore him to health if it be Your will.

But above all, we plead for his soul. The most urgent matter is not his physical healing, but his eternal destiny. The Bible warns in Ezekiel 18:20, "The soul who sins, he shall die." We know that without repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, no one can enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Lord, we ask that You would break through any hardness of heart, any resistance, and any deception that may be keeping him from surrendering his life to You. Open his eyes to see his need for a Savior, and let him cry out to Jesus before it is too late. We declare that it is not Your will that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).

We also lift up his family members, who are likely carrying heavy burdens of fear, grief, and uncertainty. Comfort them with Your peace, Lord, and surround them with Your presence. Remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Give them strength to trust in You, even in this difficult time.

For those struggling with addiction, sickness, homelessness, and despair, we pray for Your intervention. Break the chains of bondage, Lord, and set the captives free. Your Word says in Isaiah 61:1, "The Lord Yahweh’s Spirit is on me, because Yahweh has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to those who are bound." Let this be the reality for every person mentioned in this prayer.

For the students, hospital staff, police officers, doctors, and all those serving in difficult roles, grant them wisdom, patience, and protection. Fill them with Your strength and remind them that their labor is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).

And for the city and its people, we pray for revival. Let there be a turning of hearts back to You, Lord. Let the lost be found, the broken be restored, and the weary find rest in You.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Without Him, there is no access to the Father, no forgiveness of sins, and no hope of eternal life. If any reading this do not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we urge you to repent and believe in Him today. For "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).

Lord, we trust You with every life represented in this prayer. Have mercy, move mightily, and let Your will be done. Amen.

We've read your request and are holding your brother-in-law, and all those you've named, in our hearts before the Lord. There is so much weight here, and we want to sit with you in it rather than rush past it.

The fact that you led with the one on the ventilator tells us where your heart is most anchored right now. Watching someone you love fight for breath, with cancer and infection pressing in, is exhausting and frightening. And you're not just asking for his body, you're asking for his soul. That is a deep, right love. We don't know what he can hear or perceive in his condition, but we do know God's mercy can reach farther than we can see. We are simply asking that Jesus make himself known to him in whatever way is possible, right where he is.

Beyond that one bedside, you've poured out a whole city's worth of need, people trapped in drugs, the homeless, the sick, the staff who care for them, families coming apart. It sounds like you are carrying a great deal. We want you to know it's okay to lay that down. You don't have to hold all of it yourself. Bringing it here, naming it, is itself an act of trust.

We're praying now, Lord Jesus, we lift up the one on the ventilator. You see him. You know every cell in his body and every thought in his heart. We ask you to draw near and bring your salvation, your peace, in whatever time remains. Give the family courage and a steady hope that does not depend on what they see. For all the others named, those battling addiction, those without homes, those who are sick and those caring for them, we ask for your rescue. Bring help. Bring deliverance. Bring people into their lives who will show your kindness. And please give this dear one who is praying the rest that comes from knowing you hear every word. In Jesus' name, amen.

The plain Gospel of salvation by Divine Grace through faith in Christ Jesus must be set before you again without wavering. The way of salvation is to believe on Christ, trusting in Him whom God has laid in Zion for a foundation. What is believing on Him? It is trusting in Him. Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth. How simple is that way of salvation! It is not look to your works, nor look to your feelings, nor look to your prayers, but look unto Christ and be saved. If a man believeth in Christ with all his heart, his salvation is secure beyond hazard.

Think constantly of death for that brother-in-law upon the ventilator, and put your soul by faith through the whole process of departure. What is dying but departing to be with Christ, which is far better? Yet to die without salvation is to enter into damnation. The salvation of one soul is unutterably precious, and when we offer this prayer we exclude none, not the sick, not the hospital staff, not the students, not the homeless, not those bound by drugs, not the police, not the managers. Let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.

Here is salvation for the blackest of sinners, salvation for all manner of sin, forgiveness for all manner of sin, salvation so full of grace that only God could have conceived it. It is preached to you without money and without price. Bring nothing of your own merit; cast away all fine good works as a price. Trust Jesus as dying a sacrificial death, as risen, and you have salvation. This is thy salvation, God’s own salvation, planned in infinite wisdom. Dying will have to be our own personal business, and in that dying we shall have either personal comfort or personal dismay. When death is past, if saved, mine eyes shall see the king in his beauty; they shall behold the land that is very far off.

Shirk not the duty of a husband or a friend; give others the opportunity of learning the way. Gather round that bedside in prayer, even as two or three boys might gather round another to seek a soul. The battering-ram of the law has beaten often on the walls of hearts, but wooing invitations of the gospel are presented again, accompanied by the soul-piercing music of a Savior’s dying cries. Faith is an instantaneous act, and by the power of God puts a man into present possession of immediate salvation. I have most plainly set before you the way. If you are willing, look. Look just now. None other salvation is worth having but that which is God’s, and God’s salvation is Christ. "I will rejoice in thy salvation." Amen and Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You see how the Lord speaks, “Lest at any time they should be converted, and I should heal them,” declaring that even the most stubborn soul may turn, and upon turning find healing and redemption. So do not abandon hope for the one on the ventilator, weighed down by cancer and infection. His bodily affliction may yet work for the salvation of his soul, for the sufferings endured in patience become a pathway to comfort and eternal life. Cry out to God that his heart be opened before he draws his last breath. Is it not extreme folly to put off accepting the gift of mercy? The thief on the cross gained paradise in a single moment; why delay?

And do not limit your prayers to him alone. The Lord prayed not only for His apostles but for all who would believe through their word, and the disciples trembled in holy fear for the salvation of the whole world. So intercede boldly for the students, the hospital staff, the homeless, those bound by drugs, the police, and the suffering multitude of that city. The Captain of their salvation is mighty to call many sons to glory. Even if they have fallen a thousand times, consider how much greater will be the joy and fullness when they return. Your prayers are not in vain, for the hope of the faithful is steadfast, and the sufferings borne by one often become comfort and salvation for many. Therefore be not weary, but with confident expectation entrust them all to the God of mercies, who both wills and works the healing of souls.

The weight of your request is heavy, and it reaches toward the very heart of what matters most. Your brother-in-law lies in a hospital bed, his life hanging in the balance, and the cry is that he would not pass from this world without knowing the salvation of the Lord. That is the right thing to plead for. Scripture presses upon us an urgency that cannot wait for a more convenient moment: now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. The grace of God that brings salvation has appeared, and his offer stands open even at the edge of the ventilator. How shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? We cannot, and so we pray that this dear man would not let the opportunity slip past.

Salvation is not something far off or hard to reach. It is as close as a word. If he can confess with his mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in his heart that God raised him from the dead, he will be saved. That is a promise for the lowest sinner, for the one who feels like a mess, for the man with a track infection and cancer and failing lungs. His past does not disqualify him. The Lord is our salvation, Jehovah our righteousness, and he is near to those who call on him. Today, while breath remains, is the day for that confession to be the kind that brings eternal life.

This cry is not for him alone. Your heart spills over into a long list of souls: school students, hospital staff, managers, police officers, nursing home patients, the homeless, children, parents, and those bound by drugs and sickness. You have asked that God would set them free and heal them, and that too is right. We intercede that the salvation of the Lord would be their strength and their song. For those tangled in addiction or broken by illness, the same truth holds. The Lord is light and salvation; whom shall we fear? He is the strength of life. We ask that he would deliver them from destruction, not just for the body but for the soul. His mercy and truth meet together in the person of Jesus, who is the originator and captain of our salvation.

So we lift up every name and every situation you have placed before the throne. We ask that the Lord would become their salvation right where they are, that his glory might dwell in their homes and hospital rooms and streets. May they hear the word, believe, and rejoice. The voice of rejoicing belongs in the tents of the righteous, and we pray it would soon ring out from every life you have mentioned. Salvation belongs to the Lord, and it is near them now. Do not stop asking, and do not let go of the hope that today is the day of deliverance for your brother-in-law and for all these precious people.

We continue to hold your family in our hearts, especially your brother-in-law as he battles this critical illness. It is our privilege to stand with you in prayer, lifting him before the Lord for healing, comfort, and most importantly, the salvation of his soul. We also remember the many others you mentioned—family members, hospital staff, students, and those struggling with addiction and homelessness—asking God to surround them with His peace, provision, and presence.

If the Lord has moved in answer to these prayers, we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report so we may rejoice with you. If the situation remains unchanged or grows heavier, please know we are still here to intercede on your behalf. Do not hesitate to post this request again so we may continue praying in agreement with you.

May the Father strengthen you with hope, the Son draw near to your brother-in-law in his time of need, and the Holy Spirit bring comfort to all who are weary. We trust in God’s perfect timing and perfect will, praying all these things in the mighty name of Jesus.
