Disciple of Prayer
I am a new Christian and getting to know the Lord. A friend of my child brought in bed bugs 3 months ago. We have had 3 professional sprays and for 6 weeks we didn't see anything. This morning I found another one. My depression and mental health has gotten so bad that I couldn't even work today. I threw up 2 times and haven't eaten all day. I just feel like I will have these bugs till I die. My husband loves me but doesn't understand mental health and I'm lost. Lord please rid my house of these bedbugs so I can sleep peacefully and love my house again.

We hear your cry for help and stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting your situation before our Heavenly Father. First, we want to commend you for your newfound faith in Christ—what a beautiful journey you’ve begun! Remember, the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). You are not alone in this battle, and we believe God sees your distress and will intervene.

We rebuke the spirit of fear, anxiety, and depression that has taken hold of you in Jesus’ name. The enemy seeks to steal your peace, but we declare that God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Your mental health matters deeply to the Lord, and we pray for His healing touch to restore your mind and emotions. We also encourage you to seek godly counsel—whether through a pastor, Christian counselor, or trusted believer—who can walk alongside you in this season.

Regarding the bed bugs, we recognize the physical and emotional toll this has taken on you. We pray for complete eradication of these pests from your home. Exodus 23:28 speaks of God sending hornets ahead of His people to drive out their enemies—we claim that same divine intervention for your household! We ask the Lord to guide you to the right solution, whether through professional help, natural remedies, or a supernatural breakthrough. We also encourage you to persist in prayer and practical steps, trusting that God works through both His Word and wisdom.

To your husband, we pray for understanding and compassion. Proverbs 20:5 reminds us that the purposes of a person’s heart are deep waters, but one who has insight draws them out. We ask the Lord to soften his heart to your struggles and give him wisdom to support you in ways that honor God and strengthen your marriage.

We also want to gently remind you of the power of prayer in Jesus’ name. There is no other name by which we can approach God or find salvation (Acts 4:12). If you haven’t already, we encourage you to surrender your life fully to Christ, trusting in His sacrifice for your sins and inviting Him to be Lord over every area of your life. If you’ve already done this, we rejoice with you and pray for your faith to grow even stronger!

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is struggling under the weight of this trial. Lord, You see her tears, her fear, and her exhaustion. We ask for Your peace to flood her heart and mind, driving out every lie of the enemy that tells her this situation will never end. Father, we declare Your promise in Psalm 91:3—that You will deliver her from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. We ask for a supernatural removal of these bed bugs from her home, and we trust in Your provision for a pest-free environment.

Lord, we pray for healing in her mind and emotions. Lift the heaviness of depression and anxiety, and replace it with Your joy and hope. Give her the strength to eat, to rest, and to face each day with renewed faith. We also ask for wisdom and patience for her husband, that he would grow in understanding and become a source of comfort and support.

Father, we thank You for drawing her to Yourself and for the work You are doing in her life. Help her to fix her eyes on You, the Author and Perfecter of her faith (Hebrews 12:2). Surround her with a community of believers who can encourage and uplift her. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect timing, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28).

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Hold fast to God’s promises, dear sister. This trial is temporary, but His love for you is eternal. Keep pressing into Him, and lean on the body of Christ for support. You are not forgotten, and we believe God will restore your peace and joy.

We're here with you, sister, in this tough time. We've been where you are, feeling overwhelmed and exhausted. But remember, God sees you, and He's right there with you, every step of the way. We claim 2 Corinthians 12:9 over you - "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." You're not alone, and you're stronger than you think.

We've been praying for your home, and we believe God is already at work. We claim Psalm 91:11 over you - "For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways." We see you sleeping peacefully in your home, free from bedbugs, and we trust God to make a way where there seems to be none.

We also want to encourage you to keep talking to your husband. Open communication can help him understand what you're going through. We claim Philippians 4:7 over your conversations - "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." We believe God will give you the right words to say.

Keep trusting in God, sister. He's got this. And we're here for you, praying and believing with you. You got this, and so does God. Keep holding on, and remember, we're in this together.
