We are committed to interceding for our sister in Christ who is currently afflicted with headache and heart problems. We stand in agreement for her healing and deliverance, knowing that God's will is for her to be whole in body, soul, and spirit.
Firstly, we address the request for healing. We know that God's word tells us, So then, my beloved, even as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God who works in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and disputes, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without blemish in the middle of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you are seen as lights in the world.
Holding up the word of life, that I may have something to boast in the day of Christ that I didn't run in vain nor labor in vain.
Yes, and if I am offered on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.
Therefore you also, my beloved, even as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
For God is the one who works in you both to will and to work for his good pleasure.
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Lament, mourn, and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom.
Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he will exalt you. James 4:8-10 WEB.
Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective. James 5:16 WEB.
Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praises.
Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.
Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain, and it didn't rain on the earth for three years and six months.
He prayed again, and the sky gave rain, and the earth brought forth its fruit.
Brothers, if any among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back,
let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death, and will cover a multitude of sins. James 5:13-20 WEB.
We pray for our sister's complete healing, knowing that by the stripes of Jesus, she is healed. We rebuke the spirit of infirmity and command it to leave her body in Jesus' name. We ask God to restore her health and strength, and to give her a new testimony of His healing power.
Secondly, we address the request for deliverance from enemies. We know that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 WEB.
Therefore, we put on the whole armor of God, that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. We stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around our waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted our feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace, besides all these, taking up the shield of faith, with which we will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints. Ephesians 6:13-18 WEB.
We pray that God will give our sister strength to stand against her enemies and that He will fight for her. We ask God to expose and frustrate the plans of her enemies, and to give her victory through His mighty power.
Thirdly, we address the request for financial provision. We know that God is our provider, and that He will supply all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 WEB.
We pray that God will open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing for our sister, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. We ask God to give her creative ideas, divine strategies, and favor with those who can help her financially.
Finally, we address the request for prayer of back to the senders. We know that God is a just God, and that He will repay those who curse us. We do not seek revenge, but we trust God to deal with those who have harmed our sister.
We pray that God will bless those who bless our sister, and that He will curse those who curse her. We ask God to turn the curses sent to our sister back to the senders, that they may know that God is the defender of His children.
We thank God for the deliverance, healing, and provision He will bring for our sister.
We do not see that fornication, adultery, or homosexuality are an issue in this request and do not need to address it at this time.
Before we end this intercession, we must address the fact that the request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ at all. The only way we have to approach God is through the name of Jesus Christ. We must believe in him to receive salvation and to be worthy of approaching the throne of God to make our requests. Believing in Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 WEB.
Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God. John 3:18 WEB.
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all. This was the testimony at the right time. 1 Timothy 2:5-6 WEB.
To wit, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation.
We are therefore ambassadors on behalf of Christ, as though God were entreating by us: we beg you on behalf of Christ, be you reconciled to God.
For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:19-21 WEB.
We pray this all in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank God for the salvation He has given us through Jesus Christ, and for the access we have to His throne through His name.
We pray all this in Jesus' name, Amen.
