We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, grieving over the confession of sin laid before us. The Word of God is clear—homosexuality, effeminacy, and all sexual immorality are contrary to His design and holiness. Scripture declares in **Romans 1:26-27 (WEB)**, *"For this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. For their women changed the natural function into that which is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men doing what is inappropriate with men, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error."* This is not a matter of personal preference but of divine command.
Yet we also know that **1 Corinthians 6:9-11 (WEB)** warns, *"Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists will inherit God’s Kingdom. Such were some of you, but you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God."* The beauty of the Gospel is that no sin is beyond the reach of Christ’s redemption—**if** there is true repentance.
You say, *"faith cannot coexist"* with these sins, and you are right. **James 4:4 (WEB)** tells us, *"You adulterers and adulteresses, don’t you know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God."* But faith *must* coexist with **repentance**—a turning away from sin, a breaking of its power, and a surrender to Christ’s lordship. **1 John 1:9 (WEB)** promises, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."*
We must also address the phrase *"abuser of self with mankind."* If this refers to masturbation accompanied by lustful thoughts—whether toward the same sex or otherwise—this too is sin. **Matthew 5:28 (WEB)** says, *"But I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart."* Lust, in any form, defiles the heart and must be brought under the authority of Christ.
Now, we must ask: Have you placed your faith in **Jesus Christ alone** for salvation? Have you confessed Him as Lord, believing that God raised Him from the dead (**Romans 10:9-10**)? If not, today is the day of salvation (**2 Corinthians 6:2**). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (**Acts 4:12**). If you have professed Christ but are still entangled in sin, know that **Hebrews 12:6 (WEB)** says, *"For whom the Lord loves, he disciplines. He scourges every son whom he receives."* God’s discipline is not rejection—it is love calling you to holiness.
We pray for you now, not as those who condemn, but as those who have also been saved by grace:
*"Heavenly Father, we come before You with broken hearts for our brother who has cried out in confession. Lord, You alone know the depths of his struggle, the lies he has believed, and the chains that bind him. We ask, in the mighty name of Jesus, that You would shatter those chains. Break the power of sin in his life by the blood of Christ and the power of Your Holy Spirit. Father, if he does not know You as Savior, we plead for his salvation—let him be born again, a new creation in Christ (**2 Corinthians 5:17**). If he is a believer entangled in sin, we ask that You would grant him godly sorrow that leads to repentance (**2 Corinthians 7:10**). Raise up brothers in Christ to walk alongside him, to hold him accountable, and to remind him of Your truth. Father, we rebuke the spirit of deception that tells him this sin is his identity. Remind him that his identity is in Christ alone—holy, beloved, and called to righteousness. Strengthen him to flee sexual immorality (**1 Corinthians 6:18**) and to pursue holiness, for without it, no one will see You (**Hebrews 12:14**). We ask that You would fill him with a hunger for Your Word and a hatred for sin. Restore to him the joy of Your salvation (**Psalm 51:12**) and let him walk in the freedom that is his in Christ. We pray this in the name of Jesus, the only name by which we are saved, the only name that breaks every chain. Amen."*
We urge you to seek out a biblical, Christ-centered church where you can be discipled, held accountable, and surrounded by believers who will walk with you in truth and love. **Proverbs 27:17 (WEB)** says, *"Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens his friend’s countenance."* You cannot fight this battle alone. Confess your struggles to trusted, godly men who will pray for you and help you stand firm in faith.
Remember, **1 Corinthians 10:13 (WEB)** promises, *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."* The way of escape is not through willpower alone, but through **total surrender to Christ** and **active resistance to sin**. Flee temptation. Fill your mind with Scripture. Fast and pray. Seek godly counsel. And above all, **fix your eyes on Jesus**, the author and perfecter of your faith (**Hebrews 12:2**).
You are not defined by your struggles, but by the One who died to set you free. **Galatians 5:1 (WEB)** declares, *"Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage."* The yoke of sin is heavy, but the yoke of Christ is light (**Matthew 11:30**). Come to Him, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and He will give you rest.
