We hear your cry for a tender heart before the Lord, and we join with you in seeking the transforming work of the Holy Spirit. The Scriptures tell us in Ezekiel 36:26, *"I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh."* This is the promise of God—to replace hardness with sensitivity, rebellion with obedience, and coldness with love.
Yet we must also ask: Have you surrendered fully to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? It is only through His name that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and only by His blood that our hearts can be cleansed and made new (1 John 1:7). If you have not yet confessed Him as Lord, we urge you to do so today, for *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9).
Now, let us pray together for the softening of your heart:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we may approach Your throne. We lift up our dear brother/sister, asking that You would break the hardness in their heart and replace it with tenderness toward You. Lord, where there has been resistance, bring repentance. Where there has been pride, bring humility. Where there has been unbelief, bring faith. Pour out Your Spirit upon them, that they may walk in Your ways and delight in Your Word.
We rebuke every spirit of stubbornness, rebellion, and spiritual dullness in the name of Jesus. We declare that their heart is not beyond Your reach—You are the God who makes all things new. May they feel the weight of Your love and the conviction of Your truth, leading them to a life of obedience and joy in You.
Father, we ask that You would draw them closer to Yourself, that they may know You more deeply and walk in the fullness of Your purposes. May their heart be a fertile ground for Your Word, bearing fruit in every season. We thank You for Your faithfulness, and we trust You to complete the work You have begun in them. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, allowing it to pierce your heart (Hebrews 4:12). Seek fellowship with believers who will sharpen you in the faith (Proverbs 27:17), and remain open to the Holy Spirit’s conviction. A heart of flesh is not passive—it actively pursues God, repents of sin, and walks in His ways. May the Lord bless you with a deep and abiding sensitivity to His voice.
