We join you and your son in prayer and we thank you for sharing this request with us. We hear your hopeful expectation as you wait for responses from several people, and we stand with you in asking the Lord to move according to His perfect will and timing.
We are encouraged that you have come to the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him that we have access to God. We are reminded of His promise in Philippians 4:6, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And we take comfort in Psalm 27:14, Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh. We also cling to the assurance in 1 John 5:14, This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us.
Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we thank You for this parent and son who have come before You with trusting hearts. We thank You that You hear every prayer offered in the name of Jesus. Lord, You know the people from whom they are awaiting responses and You know the needs behind each hoped for answer. We ask that You would move in the hearts of those people and bring forth responses that align with Your will for this family. If it is Your will, open doors and bring clear and timely answers. If You have a different path, give this parent and son peace and wisdom to accept Your direction. While they wait, fill them with patience, guard their hearts from anxiety, and remind them that You are working all things for good for those who love You as Romans 8:28 tells us, We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Let them feel Your nearness and Your faithful care each day. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

It is good that you and your son have come together to the throne of grace to spread this matter before the Lord. To wait upon Him together as a household is itself a service unto God, for you are as much serving Him in seeking His face with your child as in any other holy duty.
You pray for responses from several people, and waiting is often the sharpest part of prayer. David knew that the best place for a true believer to find consolation was in God's Word, so he did not look in a thousand places, but his eyes were turned to God's Word, and though he did not immediately find the comfort that he sought, yet he continued to look even till his eyes seemed to fail him. Take comfort then, for though your eyes may fail with long looking, God's eyes do not fail, nor His arm either. He builds for eternity and His happiness shall be secure.
Scripture tells us there is a waiting God and a waiting people. Blessed are all they that wait for Him. God's people wait only upon God, not trusting to the arm of flesh, nor looking to the changeable creature. Sometimes His people have to wait for the fulfillment of His promises. Every promise will be kept, but not today nor tomorrow, and though you grow weary with your long waiting, yet when He comes to you, He will make amends for that and your weary waiting shall be well repaid. Wait at the posts of His doors, for He never is before His time, He never is too late.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
