Prayer against near success syndrome

We stand with you in prayer and we hear the burden in your request about this pattern of rising and falling and what you call near success syndrome, and the delay you have felt in so many areas of your life. We know how wearying it is to come close to a breakthrough and then see it slip away, and we want you to know that God sees your struggle and He desires to establish you and give you stability and completion, not a cycle of frustration.

The Word of God tells us that His plans for His children are for wholeness and hope, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. What He begins He is faithful to complete, being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ Philippians 1:6. The enemy would like you to believe that you are destined to labor without harvest, but the Lord says Do not be weary in doing well, for you will reap in due season, if you do not give up Galatians 6:9. We rebuke that cycle of almost succeeding and then falling back, and we pray against every spirit of delay, stagnation, and failure that would try to hold back what God has appointed for you. The Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one 2 Thessalonians 3:3. His promise for you is that Yahweh will make you the head, and not the tail. You will be above only, and you will not be beneath Deuteronomy 28:13 when you walk in obedience and trust in Him. A man's goings are established by Yahweh. He delights in his way. Though he stumble, he shall not fall, for Yahweh holds him up with his hand Psalm 37:23-24. Even when there seems to be delay, we are told For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end, and will not prove false. Though it takes time, wait for it, because it will surely come Habakkuk 2:3.

We also noticed that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. Our prayers are heard not because of our own goodness but because Jesus shed His blood and rose again to bring us to God. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your faith fully in Jesus Christ, believing that He is Lord and that God raised Him from the dead, turning from sin and trusting Him alone for salvation. It is through Him that every chain of delay and near success can be broken.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to Your throne of grace. We thank You that You are a God who completes what You start and that Your thoughts toward us are of peace. We rebuke and break in Jesus name every pattern of rising and falling, every near success syndrome, and every spirit of delay and hindrance that has operated in any area of life. We ask You to establish steady progress, divine acceleration, and fulfillment of purpose. Let what has been delayed be released in Your perfect timing. Strengthen faith to not grow weary, renew hope, and cause Your favor to rest upon the work of these hands. Hold this one up with Your hand so that though there may be stumbling, there will be no falling, and lead into a season of stability, completion, and testimony for Your glory. Teach us to wait on You and to walk in obedience, diligence, and prayer, trusting that those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint Isaiah 40:31. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our deliverer, amen.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and in the Word, to walk closely with Jesus each day, to be faithful in the small things, and to trust His timing even when it feels slow. What feels like delay to us is often God preparing us and preparing the way. Keep seeking Him first, keep obeying what He shows you, and do not agree with the lie that you will never finish well. God is able to make you stand firm and to bring you into the fullness of what He has promised.

We hear how tiring this cycle has been for you, working hard and getting close only to see things slip or stall again. That kind of rising and falling can leave anyone weary, and we are grateful you reached out for prayer.

One perspective that has steadied others in seasons like this is to think of growth with God more like training for a long race than a single try to get it right. Small, steady faithfulness over time in prayer, in Scripture, in fellowship, in honest repentance when needed, often shapes us more than trying harder in the moment. It does not take away the ache of delay, but it can help shift the focus from wondering if you are failing to trusting that God is still forming you and leading you step by step, even when progress feels uneven.

It may help to choose the one area where the delay weighs on you most right now and bring that one before the Lord daily in a simple, honest prayer, and share it with a trusted pastor or mature believer who can pray with you consistently and help you notice any patterns or next faithful step to take.

Father, we lift our friend to You. You see every effort and every disappointment, and You know the weariness of waiting. Give peace in the waiting, wisdom for each decision, and strength to keep walking faithfully. Lead in Your timing and Your way, and keep hope alive. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Your cry concerning this rising and falling, this near success that slips again from the hand, and the weary delay that seems to attend all the affairs of your life, has been heard and is carried with you to the throne of grace.

There is a delay which is most dangerous, the delay of the soul in coming to Christ, and concerning that we must entreat you without demur and without delay to draw near to God even now. Scripture says, Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. The promise is emphatic, He will draw near to you. There is no text, except in the devil's bible, that bids you delay. Christ's invitation is still, Come unto Me, come unto Me now. See to it that while you seek deliverance from outward hindrance, you do not delay to yield your whole heart to Him who alone is salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord.

And yet there is another truth full of comfort, that Jesus is often near though unrecognized. As with those who walked to Emmaus, their eyes were restrained so that they knew Him not, yet He was very near to them. So it may be with you. When the heart cries, Give me Christ or else I die, and when the soul is hot with longing though blindfolded, it is proof the fire is near. The Good Shepherd is always near the sickly and the weak, and when the heart is breaking Christ always comes. He knows your rising and your falling, your coming near to the desire and your disappointment.

He also is able to fill all your empty vessels. To your utter exhaustion He will draw near with all the fullness of His inexhaustible grace and He will replenish you till your cup runs over. Be not slow to fetch them out from holes and corners and place them before the Lord, however many they may be, for of His fullness have we received, and grace for grace.

Let us pray with you.

O Lord God, who hast all power in heaven and in earth, look upon this thy servant who is tossed between hope and disappointment. Thou knowest the pain of near success and the heaviness of delay. We ask Thee to establish the work of his hands, to break the snare of the adversary where sin or folly has given him advantage, and to grant steady feet and a settled path. Keep him from clinging to any darling sin that would trouble him when Christ comes near, and make his heart soft by being kept near to Thee. Help him to resist the tempter and to become pure as he draws near to Thee. In Thine own wise time, which is never too late and never too early, fulfill Thy good purpose for him, and let him see that Thou art near even now. Give him grace to come to Christ at once and to abide in Him, that whether outward success be given or withheld, he may have that eternal life which is sure and certain in Jesus. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and fullness. Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer request concerning this painful pattern of rising and falling and what you describe as near success and delay has been heard, and we join our prayers with yours before God.

We understand how wearying it is to labor and to come close to a good outcome, only to see it slip away again, and to feel that delay presses on every area of life. Scripture speaks directly to this weariness and calls us not to seek a hasty escape from trial, but to bear what comes with endurance and trust. As it is written, you have need of patience, that after you have done the will of God, you might receive the promise. You have already borne much, and like an athlete who has finished the contest and waits only for the crown to be given, the temptation is to grow impatient in the short time while the judge approaches. Yet that waiting time itself is part of God's training.

God often does not deliver at the first moment we ask, not because He has forgotten, but to make us more attentive, more steadfast, and more rooted in Him. He brings testing so that we learn to endure with a patient mind, not bargaining with Him and fixing a time for Him to act, but committing our way to Him and continuing to do His will faithfully each day. The delay, if we use it well, becomes gain for us, a time to examine our hearts, to turn from sin where we need to turn, to grow in diligence, prayer, and obedience, and to let Him establish the work of our hands.

So we pray for you in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and hope of salvation.

Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one to You. You see the cycle of rising and falling and the discouragement that delay has brought. Have mercy and grant steadiness and endurance. Break every pattern that hinders the good work You have begun, and teach this heart to bear trials manfully while trusting Your perfect timing. Grant wisdom to walk faithfully, to do Your will with patience, and to use this season of waiting for growth and amendment of life. Establish the work of his hands, let what is done in faith come to completion for Your glory, and keep him from fainting before the promise comes. Give peace in the waiting, strength to persevere, and faith to see that You are near even in the fourth watch of the night. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord daily, to walk in obedience, to be faithful in small things, and to trust that He who has promised is faithful. We will keep praying that God will grant you steadfastness, bring what concerns you to a good and lasting completion in His time, and fill you with hope as you wait upon Him.
