Disciple of Prayer
So I have a client that is also a yoga practitioner and she's have a full moon even on the 1st of May and wanted me to participate by doing massages, but I'm a bit skeptical about it because in my spirit I feel a bit off because I saw this as moon worship. I believe she had recently converted to Muslim practices because all her 3 sons were converted and she decided to follow their path even doing the rahmeed fast. I'm fully Christian and I want nothing to do with these practices. I want to back out from the event but I don't know how to say no. Please pray for me that God give me the courage to address how I feel so I won't have to participate in any moon worship or that God will cause some kind of distraction that I will not get involved. I feel in my spirit she's trying to do something more. Because this is the second time she wanted me to participate but I had an excuse then not to but now I don't know how to say I don't want to be a part of it. Please pray for me because something in my spirit is telling me she's trying to do some kind of initiation or exchange destiny because every time I do massages for her I have to wait a whole week before she pays me. She will not pay me upfront and she will never tell me she will owe me beforehand, she waits until I finish massage to tell me this. I also do massages for her boyfriend and he will pay me upfront but she won't. I did massages for them both on last Monday and I believe she discouraged her boyfriend not to pay me because after I finish his massage she came and told me he will pay me next time and doesn't normally do it that way. He'll either write me a cheque or pay cash upfront and I really needed that money at that time that what I wanted to do with that money I got delayed to do it. Please pray that God please my finances from my client's hand and if the enemy is causing my client to withhold my finances so that I won't get what I want the money to do that God will release my client so that the enemy will release my finances in Jesus Christ's name. Please pray that also that client won't try to get me involved in her practices because I don't want to be a participant in occult or new age practices in Jesus Christ's name.

We hear your concern and the unease in your spirit, and we stand with you in seeking God’s wisdom and protection in this situation. The Holy Spirit is indeed warning you, and it is right to heed that conviction. Scripture is clear that we must not participate in or be yoked with practices that do not honor God. Deuteronomy 18:9-12 warns, *"You shall not learn to imitate the abominable deeds of those nations. There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh."* The full moon event you described, tied to yoga and other spiritual practices outside of Christianity, is not aligned with God’s will. Even if your client has converted to Islam, neither Islam nor New Age practices honor the one true God as revealed in Scripture.

We also see the enemy’s hand in the financial manipulation you’ve experienced. The withholding of payment, the sudden change in her boyfriend’s behavior, and the delay in receiving what is rightfully yours are not coincidences—they are tactics to create frustration, dependency, and spiritual compromise. Proverbs 13:11 states, *"Wealth gained by dishonesty will be diminished, but he who gathers by labor increases it."* You are not wrong to expect fair and timely payment for your work, and we rebuke any spirit of poverty or control that seeks to bind you in this way.

You are right to want to distance yourself from this situation, and you do not owe her an elaborate explanation. A simple, firm, and gracious response is enough. You might say, *"I’ve prayed about this, and I don’t feel comfortable participating in this event. I’ll have to decline, but I appreciate you thinking of me."* If she presses further, you can gently but firmly restate your boundary. Remember, Proverbs 22:24-25 warns, *"Don’t befriend a hot-tempered man, and don’t associate with one who harbors anger: lest you learn his ways, and ensnare your soul."*

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and the only name by which we have access to You. Lord, we lift up our sister in Christ and ask for Your divine protection over her spirit, mind, and finances. Father, we rebuke every spirit of deception, manipulation, and occult influence that is attempting to draw her into practices that do not honor You. We declare that she is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Lord, give her the courage to stand firm in her convictions and to speak the truth in love. Remove any fear or hesitation, and replace it with Your peace and boldness. We pray that You would open her eyes to see the enemy’s schemes and that You would give her wisdom in how to navigate this relationship. Father, we ask that You would break any financial bondage or delay that has been placed upon her. Release her payments in full and on time, and let her finances be blessed as she honors You with her work. We declare that the laborer is worthy of her wages (1 Timothy 5:18), and we command every spirit of poverty or lack to flee in Jesus’ name.

Lord, we also pray for this client. We ask that You would open her eyes to the truth of the Gospel and draw her to Yourself. Soften her heart to receive the love of Christ, and let her see the emptiness of the practices she is embracing. We rebuke any spirit of initiation or exchange of destiny that may be at work, and we declare that she is not a pawn in the enemy’s hands. Let Your light shine into her darkness, and may she come to know the freedom that is found only in Jesus Christ.

Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Christ. We declare that no evil plan shall succeed against our sister, and we stand in agreement with her for breakthrough, protection, and divine favor. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith and trust that God will make a way for you to extricate yourself from this situation. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can support and pray for you, and continue to seek the Lord’s guidance in all your decisions. You are not alone, and the Lord is your defender.

We're right there with you, sister. We understand the discomfort in your spirit and the unease you're feeling. It's clear that the Holy Spirit is warning you, and it's wise to heed that conviction.

We want to encourage you to be straightforward and firm, yet kind, in your response. You don't need to explain yourself in detail, just express that you've prayed about it and don't feel comfortable participating in this event. Here's a suggestion: "I've thought about it, and I appreciate your offer, but I don't feel comfortable participating in this moon worship event. I hope you understand."

As for the financial aspect, we believe God will make a way for you to receive what's rightfully yours. Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, in Jesus' name, we come before You. Lord, we ask for Your protection over our sister's spirit, mind, and finances. We rebuke any spirit of manipulation or occult influence that's trying to draw her into practices that don't honor You. We declare that she is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against her shall prosper.

Lord, give her the courage to stand firm in her convictions and speak the truth in love. Remove any fear or hesitation, and replace it with Your peace and boldness. Open her eyes to see the enemy's schemes and give her wisdom to navigate this relationship.

Father, we ask that You would break any financial bondage or delay. Release her payments in full and on time, and let her finances be blessed as she honors You with her work. We declare that the laborer is worthy of her wages, and we command every spirit of poverty or lack to flee in Jesus' name.

Lord, we also pray for her client. We ask that You would open her eyes to the truth of the Gospel and draw her to Yourself. Soften her heart to receive the love of Christ, and let her see the emptiness of the practices she's embracing.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

You're not alone, and the Lord is your defender. Trust that He will make a way for you to extricate yourself from this situation. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can support and pray for you. Keep seeking the Lord's guidance in all your decisions.
