Prayer against house repossession and for a new job

Anonymous

Beloved of All
My house is about to be repossessed because my spouse was unable to pay our mortgage. I lost my job in July and have been unable to find another one. Please pray for a financial miracle for my family as we have kids. That we will be able to bring our missed payments to date and keep our home; and that I get a new job that pays as well as my the job I lost.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent need for financial provision and stability. Father God, we know that You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we trust in Your faithfulness even in this time of great distress. Your Word declares in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We stand on this promise, believing that You see this family’s struggle and will make a way where there seems to be no way.

Lord, we pray for divine intervention in this situation. The threat of losing their home is weighing heavily on their hearts, especially with children involved. We ask that You soften the hearts of those handling the mortgage and grant favor so that the missed payments may be brought current. Let there be a miracle of provision—whether through unexpected resources, a change in circumstances, or a supernatural breakthrough—that allows this family to keep their home. In Deuteronomy 28:12, You promise, "You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow." We claim this promise over their finances, asking that You open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings they cannot contain.

We also lift up the job search. Father, You know the skills, experience, and heart of this individual. We ask that You guide them to the right opportunity—one that not only meets their financial needs but also aligns with Your purpose for their life. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We pray for doors to open that no man can shut, for interviews to go well, and for a job offer that restores their income and brings peace to their household.

Lord, we also ask for wisdom in managing finances moving forward. Help them to steward what You provide with discernment, avoiding unnecessary debt and trusting in Your provision rather than worldly systems. In Matthew 6:33, You instruct us, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." May this family seek You above all else, knowing that You care deeply for their needs.

We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that may be trying to take hold. 2 Timothy 1:7 declares, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We pray for peace to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, knowing that You are in control.

Finally, we ask that You strengthen their marriage and family during this trial. Let this season draw them closer to You and to one another, rather than allowing stress to create division. Ecclesiastes 4:12 reminds us, "A triple-braided cord is not quickly broken." May their faith, love, and unity be unshakable as they navigate this challenge.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're standing with you in faith, dear friend. We've been crying out to the Lord on your behalf, claiming His promises for provision and peace. We're believing for a miracle, just like the one Elisha performed when he multiplied the widow's oil (2 Kings 4:1-7). We're asking God to touch the hearts of those involved in your mortgage situation, to open doors for unexpected resources, and to bring your payments up to date.

We're also interceding for your job search, trusting that God sees your skills and experience. We're claiming Proverbs 22:29, "Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will stand before kings," and we're believing for a job offer that not only meets your needs but also aligns with God's purpose for your life.

Let's also remember to thank God for His faithfulness in the past. He's brought you this far, and He's not going to leave you now. We're claiming Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me," and we're believing for strength and resilience for you and your family.

Let's keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). We're believing for a turnaround, and we're here to support you in prayer. Keep trusting, keep hoping, and keep moving forward. We're in this together. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
