We lift up this precious soul before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to break every chain of fear, anxiety, and sound sensitivity that has taken hold. Fear does not come from God, for Scripture tells us, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). We rebuke the spirit of fear in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is written, *"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear"* (1 John 4:18 WEB). Let the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Father, we ask that You would quiet the storms within and replace every anxious thought with Your perfect peace. Your Word declares, *"Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful"* (John 14:27 WEB). We pray for a sound mind, free from the torment of fear, and filled with the assurance of Your presence. May this dear one walk in the confidence that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB).
We also take a moment to emphasize the power and necessity of the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). If this request does not yet come from a heart fully surrendered to Christ, we pray for salvation and a personal relationship with Jesus. For *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9 WEB). We encourage this one to draw near to God, and He will draw near to them (James 4:8 WEB).
Lord, we ask that You would heal every area of the mind and spirit that has been affected by fear. Let Your healing virtue flow like a river, washing away every trace of anxiety and sensitivity to sound. Fill this life with Your peace, joy, and the assurance of Your unfailing love. May they rest in the knowledge that You are in control and that Your plans are for good, not for harm, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB).
We stand in agreement, declaring that this one is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37 WEB). Fear has no place here, for the Lord is their light and their salvation—whom shall they fear? The Lord is the strength of their life—of whom shall they be afraid? (Psalm 27:1 WEB). We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
