Prayer against bullies

We have heard your cry and we are standing with you in prayer against the bullies and the lies you are enduring. It hurts deeply to be targeted and spoken against falsely, but you are not alone and you are not unseen. Our God sees what is done in secret and in the open, and He is your refuge and defender.

We want to remind you what the Lord says about your situation. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust Psalm 91:1-2. No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh's servants, and their righteousness is of me, says Yahweh Isaiah 54:17. And Jesus said, Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven Matthew 5:11-12.

We also want to speak truth about the lies you are facing. Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight Proverbs 12:22. The Lord hates falsehood and He loves truth, and He will bring truth to light in His time. Those who bully and slander will give account to God, for it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. We encourage you not to seek revenge with your own hands, but to trust God as your defender while also taking wise steps to protect yourself. Please reach out to a trusted parent, teacher, pastor, or counselor who can stand with you, speak for you, and help stop this behavior. You do not have to carry this alone.

We also gently rebuke the spirit of bullying and lying that has come against you, for it is not from God. We pray that those who are harassing you would be convicted of their sin, turn from it, and come to know the love and truth of Christ. Jesus tells us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us Matthew 5:44, and so we pray not only for your protection but for their repentance.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to share how important that name is. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, believing He died for your sins and rose again, so that you can have eternal life and bold access to God in prayer.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You see the bullies and You hear every lie spoken against them. Lord, surround them with Your presence as a shield. Let them feel Your nearness and Your comfort in this painful season. We ask You to stop the mouths of those who lie and to bring their deeds into the light. Convict the hearts of those who bully, bring them to repentance, and turn them from cruelty to kindness. Give our friend courage and strength, wisdom to know when to speak and when to be still, and provide godly people around them who will support, protect, and advocate for them. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven us, while still setting healthy boundaries. Restore their peace and their joy, and let them know their identity and worth is found in You alone, not in the words of others. We ask all of this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to stay rooted in the Word daily, put on the full armor of God that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil Ephesians 6:11, and keep bringing every hurt to Jesus in prayer. He is your light and your salvation, whom shall you fear, He is the strength of your life, of whom shall you be afraid Psalm 27:1. Keep trusting Him, He will vindicate you and He will carry you through.

We hear how painful this has been, facing bullying and lies. It is exhausting to walk into places where you feel watched or misrepresented, and we are grateful you reached out for prayer.

Those words can start to sound true when you hear them often, especially the idea that your worth depends on whether others approve of you or on how well you perform. We want to gently remind you that the opinions of people who are mistreating you do not define you. You were made with dignity and value that their words cannot take away, even on days when the lies feel loud.

You do not have to sort through this alone. One steady next step is to bring one trusted person into what is happening soon, a pastor, counselor, teacher, family member, or another safe adult, and share specifically what has been said or done and how it is affecting you day to day. If you can, keep a simple private note of dates and what happened so you have a clear record to share with them. That person can help you think through wise boundaries and stay with you as you navigate what comes next.

Father, we bring our friend to you in Jesus name. Surround them with your presence, guard them from harm, and give them wisdom and courage for each day. Bring trustworthy people alongside them, quiet the lies that have been so painful to hear, and lead them toward peace and safety. Help them know they are seen and cared for by you. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

It is a painful affliction to be beset by bullies and to have lies spoken against you, and your cry has been heard with sincere compassion and prayer before the Lord.

To be slandered and mocked is a sharp trial, yet you are not alone in it, nor is it a strange thing that has happened to you. Many of the Lord's people have felt the same rod of cruel mockings, jesting, jeering and venomous spite. The Scriptures teach us that persecution, even when it comes not with fire or prison but with slander and false tongues, has its use in the hand of God. It helps to keep the soul separate from the world, and often it drives the Christian nearer to his God. How many prayers have been offered as the result of such enmity that would never have been offered else. God can and does bless his people even through their persecution, and he will make the wave that seems to threaten you to speed your course toward Christ.

Take comfort also in this, that every refuge of lies shall be swept away. The hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and what is built upon falsehood cannot stand before the judgment of the righteous God. Men may utter lies against you for a season, but their lies have no foundation and will not endure the trial. Your hope must not be built upon your own goodness or upon the opinions of men, for that also would be a refuge of lies. The whole of your salvation lies in Jesus Christ and in Jesus Christ alone. To trust your God, to rely upon the atonement of his Son, this is the divinest exercise of the soul, and in his precious blood there is more than sufficient reason for faith. When you are belied, flee to him who is the true Cornerstone and the sure hiding place.

We have prayed for you, and we continue to pray, that the Lord would have compassion upon you and help you. We ask that he would be your shield against the bully and your vindicator against every false tongue, that he would give you grace to bear reproach with meekness and to overcome evil with good, that he would draw you nearer to himself in prayer, even in brief, silent prayer as Nehemiah prayed, and that he would turn the hearts of those who oppose you, bringing them to see their sin and to seek mercy. May the Lord keep your heart in unison with Christ whom you trust, give you peace that rests not on the words of men but on the finished work of the Saviour, and let you know that no limit can be set to the power which lies in his divine expiation to sustain and deliver you.

Cast your burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain you. He hears the cry of the oppressed and he will not despise a broken and contrite heart that looks to Jesus.
