A Motherly God

We have heard your heart and we are standing with you in prayer before the Lord Jesus for your healing and peace. It hurts deeply when words from family wound us, especially when those words speak falsely about who we are and how God has made us.

We want to remind you of truth from Scripture. You are fearfully and wonderfully made by God, Psalm 139:14, and He knows every part of you, including your mind and brain. Your doctor, who has medical knowledge, has not spoken these harsh words over you, and we should not receive a false label that God has not given. The tongue has great power, for Proverbs 18:21 says Death and life are in the power of the tongue, those who love it will eat its fruit. And Proverbs 12:18 warns There is one who speaks rashly like the piercing of a sword, but the tongue of the wise heals. Belligerent, rash words pierce, but God's words heal.

We also know the Lord is our healer. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. And Jeremiah 30:17 declares But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Psalm 103:2-3 reminds us to Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. We can bring every anxiety and every hurtful word to Him, because Philippians 4:6-7 tells us In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We encourage you to continue to walk in truth and to guard your mind with what is true. Philippians 4:8 says Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things. Do not let untrue words define you. And even when wounded by family, we are called to forgive as we have been forgiven, Ephesians 4:32, and to honor our elders while also seeking peace and truth in love.

We now pray together for you.

Lord Jesus, we lift this dear one to You and we thank You that You know them completely and love them perfectly. We ask You to lay Your healing hand upon their mind and body and bring complete healing and wholeness according to Your will. We rebuke every false word spoken over them that their brain is dead or defective, and we declare Your truth that they are wonderfully made and held in Your hands. Heal any wound caused by these harsh words, quiet every anxious thought, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Give them confidence to trust in Your truth and in wise medical counsel, and give them grace to forgive their grandmother and to love her while also walking in Your truth. Let Your strength be their comfort, for Isaiah 41:10 says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. We ask all of this in Your mighty and healing name, Jesus, Amen.

We were so sorry to read what your grandma said to you. Words like that from someone close to you can be deeply hurtful and leave you feeling shaken and worried, so it makes sense you would bring this to Jesus and ask for His healing.

We are glad you have a doctor who is caring for you, and we noticed you said your doctor has not said what your grandma said. That difference matters. When harsh words like that keep echoing in your mind, it can help to bring your concerns directly to your doctor so you can ask questions and hear clearly from him. You might write down what you are worried about before your next visit, and if it would help, bring a trusted family member or friend with you for support.

You are seen and valued by God, and you are not alone as you walk through this. We are holding you in prayer and asking God to bring peace where there has been hurt, and wisdom for each step ahead.

Father, we lift our friend to You now and ask for Your healing and Your peace over mind and body. Quiet the fear those words have stirred, comfort this hurt, and give clarity and wisdom to their doctor and to them. Remind them how deeply they are loved by You and keep them close to You in the days ahead. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your prayer for healing has risen to the Lord who hears those who call upon Him, and we join our hearts with yours before His throne of grace.

It is a wounding thing to have harsh words spoken over you, especially by one so near as your own grandmother, and to be told that your mind is gone when your physician has not said so. Do not let that belligerent word settle upon your soul as truth. Man's hasty sentence does not stand, but the Word of the Lord brings healing. There is abundant healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. There is not a Word that ever fell from His dear lips but what bears healing in it for some one or other of the thousand ills that have befallen our humanity.

We very speedily care for bodily distress, for it urges us to seek a physician, but how much more does the Great Physician care for you. He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds, and He has risen as the Sun of Righteousness with healing in His wings. Pardon and healing are placed in happy conjunction in His hands, and when He comes to dwell with His people, the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick, for the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity. Bring then both your body and your spirit to Him in simple faith, for faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

Let us pray together. O Lord Jesus Christ, Thou heavenly Physician, look in mercy upon this Thy child who seeks healing. Speak but a word and healing shall come from Thy pardoning hand. Let Thy healing leaves change the life blood and make whole what is wounded. Silence every cruel and untrue word that has been spoken, and let Thy gentle Word abide and heal. Restore in body and in mind according to Thy perfect will, and give peace to the troubled heart, with full assurance that Thou hearest prayer. We ask this trusting in Thy name alone, who art our only salvation and our sure hope. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so. Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for healing has been heard and brought before the Lord Jesus, and we have prayed with you and for you.

It is painful to hear such harsh and demeaning words from your own grandmother, especially when they are not true and your doctor has not said anything like that about you. Words like that can wound deeply, but they do not define you. You are made by God, known by Him, and your life and mind are in His hands. What your grandmother said in a belligerent way is not the truth God speaks over you.

We join you in asking the Lord Jesus to heal you, to bring peace to your mind and heart, to guard you from discouragement and fear, and to renew your strength. As we see in the Scriptures, great is the power of faith when we come to Christ with trust, as that mother did for her daughter, and Christ honors a heart that turns to Him and says, let it be as you will. Bring your hurt and your hope to Him honestly, and trust His mercy and His timing.

We also pray that God will quiet the sting of those words, help you to hold fast to what is true, and not to receive a false label over your mind. Your doctor's care is a gift from God, and it is wise to listen to sound medical counsel rather than cruel speech. If these words continue to trouble you, keep sharing your concerns with your doctor and with trusted people who can support you.

We pray too for your grandmother, that the Lord would soften her heart, give her gentleness in speech, and help your relationship to be marked by greater understanding and respect.

May the Lord grant you rest, clear thought, and confidence in His love for you. He sees you, He hears your prayer, and He is near to those who call upon Him. Keep seeking Him in prayer and in His Word, and cast your cares upon Him, for He cares for you.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this dear one to You. Touch and heal where there is hurt, calm every anxious thought, and let Your truth and peace dwell richly within. Let Your healing power be made known according to Your will, and give comfort, hope, and wholeness. In Your name we pray, Amen.
