Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing so honestly what you are carrying. Life feeling like a nightmare is a heavy burden, and God sees every part of what you described. I have been praying for you and will continue to bring each of these needs before the Lord.
I am praying for your financial pressure, having no money in the bank and facing bills including the monthly subscriptions and other obligations you mentioned, along with the worry about your credit and needing your phone sorted. The Lord knows our daily physical needs. When Jesus taught us to pray, give us this day our daily bread, He was showing us that the Father cares about these practical matters and invites us to ask Him for provision. I am asking Him to provide for you, to open a door for work as you are seeking employment, and to give you wisdom and help as you steward what He provides. I am also praying for your brother who needs work to support his seven children, that God would provide honest work for him and meet the needs of his family.
I am praying for your family. It is painful when trust is broken over money and a family business, and when that conflict puts a marriage under strain. God designed the family to live in love and faithfulness, with husbands and wives committed to one another for life and with family members caring for one another. Conflict is so common in this world, but the gospel brings peace where there has been war, peace with God and, as we walk with Him, peace with one another. The real struggle behind these outward conflicts is spiritual, and we cannot win it by fighting in the flesh. We need spiritual weapons, which are prayer and the truth of God's word and walking in love and forgiveness. I am praying that God would bring conviction where there has been wrong, healing where there has been hurt, reconciliation between your brother and your father, and restoration and strength for your mum and dad's marriage. Turn your deep desires for your family into specific, continual prayer, because God hears when we bring our loved ones to Him.
I am praying also for your body. You described swelling and pain in your head and scalp, a loss of feeling, and difficulty breathing, along with the longing to have children and a sense of spiritual oppression. God cares for the whole person, body, mind and spirit. The prophet Isaiah spoke of the suffering servant who would bear our griefs and carry our sorrows, and Matthew by the Holy Spirit applies that to Jesus healing the sick, showing that His suffering on the cross reaches to our physical needs as well as our spiritual need for forgiveness. When we remember communion, we remember His body broken for us. At the same time Scripture shows us that healing is not always immediate or in the way we expect. Paul prayed three times for his thorn in the flesh and the Lord answered differently than he had asked. There is much about healing we do not fully understand. Sometimes healing is gradual, only one gradual healing is recorded in the ministry of Jesus, and sometimes God heals through the natural processes He has built into our bodies, which are themselves from Him. There is also a connection between the health of our soul and our body, as a joyful heart is like good medicine and anxiety can harm the body. This is not a promise that faith guarantees a certain outcome, the wish for good health in 3 John is a loving prayer, not a guarantee of prosperity, but it reminds us to bring our bodies to God while we trust His wisdom and love. Hardship and sickness are not always a direct result of personal sin, as Jesus showed with the man born blind, God can display His works even through suffering. Please also seek medical care promptly for the swelling, numbness and breathing difficulty so that doctors can help you, and know that God can work through their care as well.
I am praying against any spiritual attack you are sensing. The enemy does work subtly, often hiding behind physical and family troubles to discourage us. I am asking the Lord to protect you, to give you peace, to fill you with His Spirit, and to lift any oppression in Jesus name, and to help you stand firm with prayer and faith in Christ.
My prayer for you is this. Father, in the name of Jesus, I bring this dear one to You. You see the financial need, the need for work, the bills and the phone and the credit concerns. Provide daily bread and open the right doors for employment. You see the family pain, the theft, the business conflict, the threat to a marriage, and a brother who needs to provide for seven children. Bring repentance, forgiveness, reconciliation and peace. Lay Your healing hand upon this body, ease the swelling and pain in the head and scalp, restore feeling, strengthen breathing, and bring health according to Your perfect will. Comfort the longing for children and grant Your good plan in Your time. Guard from the enemy, grant peace of mind and heart, and draw this heart closer to Jesus, in whom alone we have salvation and hope. Amen.
Please keep seeking the Lord daily, keep bringing each need to Him in prayer, stay in His word, and reach out for practical help from trusted believers and from medical professionals where needed. You are not forgotten.
