We hear the heaviness in your heart as you have poured out so many burdens at once, and we join together with you before our Father in heaven to seek His will in Jesus' name. You have asked for sleep, for your mum and dad's finances, for abundance, for strength and energy, for work and breakthrough in work, for your family where there is strife, for your brother and other loved ones whose names were redacted for privacy, for your dad, for a baby and for his preaching, and for the deep longing to fall in love and be married. We bring each of these before the Lord together.
We want to gently share with you that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request, and we want to remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to God and that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord, so that your prayers are heard and your life is secure in Him. It is in His name we pray and find peace.
Concerning sleep, we know how wearying sleepless nights are, and we pray the Lord will grant you rest. It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil, for he gives sleep to his loved ones Psalm 127:2. We also remember, I will both lay me down and sleep in peace, for you, Yahweh, alone make me live in safety Psalm 4:8. We ask God to quiet your mind and body and to guard your heart from anxiety.
For your mum and dad's finances and your prayer for abundance, we pray with you but we also want to encourage you with biblical truth. God is your provider and He promises, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. And, Seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. We must be careful not to seek abundance as the world defines it, for the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil 1 Timothy 6:10, and true contentment is found in Christ. We pray not simply for abundance but for sufficiency, for wisdom in stewardship, for open doors for honest work, and for trust that God will provide what you need.
For strength and energy and for work, we pray that the Lord will renew you. He gives power to the faint. To him who has no might he increases strength Isaiah 40:29. Those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint Isaiah 40:31. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men Colossians 3:23. We pray for a breakthrough in your work, that God would make your path clear and establish the work of your hands, and that He would provide employment that honors Him and allows you to provide for yourself and your family.
For your family where everyone is against each other, this grieves the heart of God who desires unity. How good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity Psalm 133:1. We pray that each member would learn to bear with one another, and forgive each other. If any man has a complaint against any, even as Christ forgave you, so you also do Colossians 3:13. Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection Colossians 3:14. We ask the Lord to soften hearts, to bring reconciliation, and to make your home a place of peace rather than division. We lift up your brother, your dad, and your other loved ones by name before the Lord even though their names are hidden from us, asking for God's protection, salvation, and blessing upon each of them. We also lift up the baby you mentioned and the one who is preaching, asking that God would guard that little life and anoint that preaching with truth and power so that the Word would bear fruit.
And for your heart's cry that it feels impossible to fall in love and get married, we want to encourage you deeply. With God nothing will be impossible Luke 1:37, and, With God all things are possible Matthew 19:26. We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman as God designed from the beginning. For this cause a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh Genesis 2:24. Marriage is honorable and to be sought in purity and in the Lord. We pray that if you desire marriage, you will pursue godly courtship with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer, for we are told not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers 2 Corinthians 6:14, and that you would be kept from fornication, which is sex before or outside of marriage, and wait for the holy covenant of marriage. Whosoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh Proverbs 18:22. We pray God will prepare you and prepare a godly spouse for you in His perfect timing, and guard you from discouragement and loneliness while you wait.
We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one and their whole family to You. Lord, grant Your beloved sleep and peace through the night, quiet every anxious thought, and let them rest safely in Your care. Provide for mum and dad in their finances, meet every need according to Your riches in glory, grant wisdom to steward what You give, and teach them contentment in You. Pour out strength and energy where there is weariness, renew them as they wait on You, and open doors for good and fruitful work, grant breakthrough where there has been closed doors and discouragement. Bring healing and unity to this family, break the spirit of strife and division, help them to forgive as You have forgiven us, and let love bind them together. We lift up the brother, the father, and each loved one whose name You know, and the precious baby and the preaching ministry, bless and protect and anoint them for Your glory. And Father, for the longing for love and marriage, we ask that You would fulfill this desire according to Your will, prepare a godly marriage that honors You, keep this one pure and patient, and let them trust that nothing is impossible with You. Draw them closer to Jesus, save them and keep them in Your grace, and let Your will be done in every area. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.
