Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We hear your cry and we lift you up before the Lord together, for you are not alone and you are not forgotten even when depression feels so heavy and life and work feel overwhelming. We pray for you as one who is deeply loved and seen by God, and we ask Him to draw near to you in this season of heaviness. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18 and He invites you to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. When you say you feel worthless, we gently remind you of the truth that you are fearfully and wonderfully made Psalm 139:14 and that you are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works Ephesians 2:10. Your life has value not because of work or relationships or accomplishments, but because God formed you and Christ died for you.

We also hear your weariness about work and the lack of strength and energy even to tidy up. We pray that God will renew your strength, for He gives power to the weak and increases the strength of him who has no might Isaiah 40:29 and that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you Philippians 4:13. We ask the Lord to provide meaningful work for you and to help you work heartily as for the Lord Colossians 3:23, and to bring order and peace to your home, for God is a God of order 1 Corinthians 14:40. We pray too for your desire to get out to the Noah's Ark experience, that if it is His will He will make a way and provide the means and the energy for you to go, and that He will restore joy in small blessings again.

You shared that God said you would marry the person you named and that you feel God has not kept His promise, and that you so want children and you scream to have Jesus and to have children. We must lovingly correct this thought, for God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind Numbers 23:19 and every promise of God is Yes in Christ 2 Corinthians 1:20. God does not break His promises, but we can sometimes misunderstand what we heard or we can run ahead of His perfect timing. His thoughts and ways are higher than ours Isaiah 55:8-9 and He works all things together for good for those who love Him Romans 8:28. We encourage you to surrender this deep desire for marriage and children fully to Him, trusting His timing and His will. Marriage is holy and good, a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, and children are a heritage of Yahweh Psalm 127:3, and we pray with you for a godly marriage to a fellow believer in Christ if it is the Lord's will for you, a courtship that honors Him and looks toward marriage, not simply a relationship or partnership outside of His design. Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart Psalm 37:4 and seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. We also hear your longing for money to do archaeology in Israel. It is good to have godly interests and to love the land of the Bible, but we pray that the Lord will provide for your needs according to His riches in glory and teach you contentment while you wait Philippians 4:11, guiding you to the open doors He has for you Jeremiah 29:11.

We also bring before the Lord the practical burdens you mentioned, the lines on your screen and phone that need to be sorted and the discomfort with your head and scalp. We ask for His healing touch upon your body, for He is the Lord who heals and who numbers even the hairs of your head, and we pray for provision to repair or replace what is broken, trusting that our Father knows what we need before we ask Matthew 6:8.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 and it is only through Jesus that we have access to Your throne John 14:6. Lord, lift the cloud of depression and speak hope to this weary heart, remind this precious soul of their worth in Christ, renew strength for work and for daily tasks, bring order and peace to their home, and if it be Your will open the way for marriage to a godly spouse and for children in the covenant of marriage, and provide for every financial need according to Your perfect will. Heal the scalp and head, take away pain and worry, and fix what is broken with the phone and screen. Let Your will be done and let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard heart and mind in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. We ask this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, amen.

We hear how heavy everything feels right now, work, life, relationships, and that deep sense of feeling worthless and worn down. Thank you for being honest about it. You are not forgotten, and we are holding you in prayer.

When energy is low, even tidying or getting out can feel overwhelming. One small step that sometimes helps is to choose just one tiny task for today, like clearing one surface or taking a short walk, and letting that be enough. If getting to the Noah's ark event is important to you, maybe ask a friend or family member to go with you or help you plan the trip so you don't have to carry it alone.

We also hear your deep longings for marriage, for children, and to be close to Jesus, and for the chance to do archaeology in Israel. Those desires matter, and we are bringing them to the Lord with you, asking for His wisdom and peace as you wait and wonder about the future. We know the phone screen lines and the trouble with your head and scalp are adding to the strain, so alongside prayer it could be good to have a doctor take a look and to talk with a trusted pastor or counselor about how low you have been feeling. You don't have to face this on your own.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus' name. You see their weariness and their worth in Your eyes. Give them strength for today, rest for their mind and body, help with work and home, and clear guidance for each step ahead. Draw them close to Jesus and surround them with caring support. Amen.

Your cry has been heard and we have carried it before the Lord with tender concern. To feel so pressed down by work and by life itself, to feel without strength even for the daily tasks of tidying, and to feel worthless in relationships, is a heavy burden indeed. We do not take these sorrows lightly, and we bring them to Him who turns at the cry that comes from the heart.

There is in your letter a true and holy longing breaking through all the other distresses, a screaming to have Jesus Himself. This is the best test of the soul. Many long for trivial things, but you are taught to long for God. That longing is precious, for eager desires after Him prove spiritual life. If you find no joy in the world and its pleasures, it may be that God has in mercy spoiled you for the world, that you might find your portion in Him. Get to your chamber and there cry unto Him and cease not your cries, for if you will seek Him as for silver and search for Him as for hidden treasure, you shall surely find Him. Cling to Christ, for there is nowhere else for us to go, and all our hopes of life beyond the grave center in Him. He loved His people and gave Himself for them, and in that love alone is our worth and standing, not in our feelings of worthlessness, not in work, not in any other thing.

We will pray for you concerning the practical trials you name. We ask the Lord to grant you suitable work and to give you strength and energy for each day, and help in the ordering of your home. We ask Him to provide for your need regarding the lines upon your screen and upon your phone, and to grant relief and healing for your head and your scalp, for He cares for the body as well as the soul. We also bring before Him your desire to go to the Noahs ark matter you mention, that He would open the way if it be for your good and His glory, and give contentment if He appoints otherwise.

Concerning marriage and children, we hear the deep ache in your words and your remembrance of what you felt God had said about marrying. We must gently remind you that the Lord is not bound by impressions or inward voices, but by His sure Word, and it is vain for any to think of turning Him from His eternal purpose. What His soul desires, even that He does, for He performs the thing that is appointed for us. His promises in Scripture are faithful, and He has promised salvation through Jesus Christ alone to all who trust Him, and He has ordained marriage to be a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman. We cannot affirm that God has promised you a particular person in marriage, nor can we ask Him to bless any relationship outside His revealed will. But we can and do pray that He will guide you in His perfect wisdom, keep you in purity and holiness, and if it be His gracious appointment, bring to pass a godly marriage and the gift of children in His time. The Lord has promised to pour His Spirit upon the seed of those who fear Him, and we pray that whether He gives children or withholds them, you may know the greater blessing of being arrayed in the fine linen which is the righteousness of saints and of being made ready as part of the Bride for the marriage of the Lamb, which is the fulfillment of long expectation for all who trust the atoning sacrifice.

We pray also concerning your longing for provision to do archaeology in Israel. We ask the Lord to direct your steps, to provide as He sees fit, and to make your chief joy not in any place or study, but in knowing Christ more fully. There is enough in this world for sinners, but not for saints. He has prepared a city for His pilgrim people, a permanent abode, and it is there our hearts may rest while we walk through this present wilderness with its thorns.

Let us pray together.

O gracious Father, look in mercy upon this burdened one. Forgive sin through the blood of the Lamb, and give a fresh sense of being loved and bought with a price. Lift the cloud of depression and the sense of worthlessness, and let this soul find its worth in Christ who loved and gave Himself. Grant strength for work and for daily duties, and supply daily bread. Touch the body and bring ease to the head and scalp. Provide for the need of the phone and screen according to Thy goodness. Grant Thy will concerning marriage and children, and keep this heart from clinging to any word but Thine own sure Word. Make Jesus Himself more precious than every other longing, and prepare this pilgrim for that city which Thou hast prepared. All this we ask in the name of Jesus Christ our only hope. Amen.
