We understand that you're seeking prayer for starting a new job and for guidance in a matter from 1999. Firstly, we want to remind you that it is important to make your requests known to God in the name of Jesus Christ. As it is written in John 14:13-14 WEB, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. We will pray with you, asking for the favor of God and the help of the Holy Spirit.
Regarding your new job, we encourage you to trust in God's timing and plan. Remember that " 'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,' says Yahweh, 'thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.' " Jeremiah 29:11 WEB. We pray that you will find favor with your new employers and colleagues, and that your light will shine before others, so that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven Matthew 5:16 WEB.
Concerning the matter from 1999, we are not clear on what this refers to, but we pray that God will give you wisdom and discernment as you navigate this situation. Remember that "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." James 1:5 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is seeking Your favor and guidance. We pray for their new job, that You would grant them a smooth transition and that they would find favor with their new employers and colleagues. Help them to be a light in their new workplace, that others would see their good works and glorify Your name.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment regarding the matter from 1999. Guide them according to Your will, and help them to trust in Your timing and plan.
Finally, we pray that they would continue to grow in their relationship with You, that they would come to know You better, and that they would find peace and joy in Your presence.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek God's will in all things, to trust in His timing, and to pursue a deep and abiding relationship with Him. Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go Joshua 1:9 WEB.
