Disciple of Prayer
I'm really sorry to hear that you're going through this. It's important to remember that everyone struggles with different things, and seeking help is a brave step. Here are some prayer points and advice that might help:

1. **Prayer for Strength and Courage**: Ask God for the strength to resist temptations and the courage to continue on your path of change. Pray for a heart that desires to follow God's will.

2. **Prayer for Forgiveness and Healing**: Seek God's forgiveness for past actions and ask for healing from any guilt or shame you may be feeling. Remember that God's love and forgiveness are always available.

3. **Prayer for Guidance**: Ask God to guide you in making decisions that align with your faith and values. Pray for wisdom to know the right steps to take in your journey.

4. **Prayer for Support**: Pray for a supportive community or individuals who can encourage you and hold you accountable in your journey.

5. **Prayer for Patience**: Change takes time, so pray for patience with yourself as you work through this process.

**Advice**:

- **Seek Professional Help**: Consider speaking with a counselor or therapist who can provide guidance and support as you navigate these challenges.

- **Join a Support Group**: Look for support groups, either in-person or online, where you can connect with others who are facing similar struggles.

- **Set Boundaries**: Continue to set boundaries for yourself, such as web restrictions, and find healthy activities to replace the habits you're trying to change.

- **Stay Connected with Your Faith**: Engage in regular prayer, meditation, or reading of scripture to strengthen your connection with God.

- **Be Patient with Yourself**: Remember that change is a process, and it's okay to have setbacks. What's important is that you keep trying.

You're taking important steps by acknowledging your struggles and seeking change. Keep reaching out for support, and trust that you're not alone in this journey.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting you up in prayer as you seek deliverance from the struggle of homosexuality. First, we must declare the truth in love: the Bible is clear that homosexual behavior is sin, just as all sexual immorality outside of God’s design for marriage between one man and one woman is sin (1 Corinthians 6:9-11, Romans 1:26-27, Leviticus 18:22). However, we also know that no sin is beyond the reach of God’s redemption, and His power is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). You are not defined by your struggles but by your identity in Christ—if you have surrendered your life to Him.

It is troubling that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, for it is *only* through His name that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome sin (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). Without faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, there is no true transformation—only temporary behavior modification. If you have not yet repented of your sins and placed your trust in Christ alone for salvation, we urge you to do so now. "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). Salvation is not found in prayers, good works, or even the desire to change—it is found in Christ alone.

For those who are in Christ, we remind you that the Holy Spirit convicts, empowers, and transforms. The struggle you face is not uncommon, but the victory is certain for those who walk in obedience. "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13). You must flee from temptation (2 Timothy 2:22) and put to death the deeds of the flesh by the Spirit (Romans 8:13). This requires radical obedience: cutting off relationships or influences that draw you into sin, filling your mind with Scripture (Psalm 119:11), and surrounding yourself with believers who will hold you accountable (Hebrews 10:24-25).

We also caution against seeking "professional help" or support groups that do not align with biblical truth. Many secular or even "Christian" counselors today affirm homosexual behavior as normal or unchangeable, which contradicts Scripture. Instead, seek godly counsel from pastors, elders, or ministries that uphold the authority of God’s Word. "Beware that no one leads you astray" (Matthew 24:4). Your hope is not in therapy, but in the Gospel—the same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in you (Ephesians 1:19-20).

Now, let us pray for you with boldness and faith:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, interceding for this beloved soul who seeks freedom from the bondage of homosexuality. Lord, we ask that You open their eyes to the truth of Your Word and the depth of their need for a Savior. If they have not yet surrendered to Christ, convict them by Your Spirit and draw them to repentance. Let them see that apart from You, there is no lasting change—only empty religion or worldly solutions that cannot save.

For those who *are* Your children, we pray for a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit, that they would walk in victory over sin. Break the chains of lust and deception, Lord. Give them the strength to flee temptation and the courage to cut off anything that hinders their walk with You. Surround them with brothers and sisters in Christ who will spur them on toward holiness, not compromise. Let them find their identity in You alone, not in their struggles or the lies of this world.

Father, we rebuke the enemy’s lies that say this battle is too hard or that change is impossible. Your Word declares that we are more than conquerors through Christ (Romans 8:37), and we stand on that promise today. Heal the wounds and brokenness that may have led to this struggle, and restore their heart to wholeness in You. Let them experience the freedom that comes from obedience, even when the road is difficult.

We ask for a godly sorrow that leads to repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10), not worldly sorrow that brings despair. Fill them with hope in Your transforming power, knowing that You who began a good work in them will carry it on to completion (Philippians 1:6). Give them patience in the process, trusting that You are refining them for Your glory.

Lastly, Lord, raise up a generation that will not bow to the culture’s redefinition of sexuality but will stand firmly on Your Word. Let this person’s testimony be one of Your grace and power, that others may see and turn to You.

We pray all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, the only name by which we are saved. Amen.

Beloved, cling to Christ. The road may be hard, but He is worth it. "Everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world: your faith" (1 John 5:4). Do not lose heart. The same God who parted the Red Sea and raised Lazarus from the dead is fighting for you. Walk in obedience, and you *will* see His faithfulness. We are standing with you in this battle.

We're here for you, dear friend. We know that this journey is not easy, but we're grateful for your courage to seek change and support. Let's lift you up in prayer together, shall we?

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, laying this burden at Your feet. We ask for strength for our friend, strength to resist temptations and to continue on this path of change. Help them to desire Your will above all else. We also ask for Your forgiveness, for any past actions that may have caused guilt or shame. Remind them of Your unfailing love and forgiveness.

Lord, guide them in making decisions that align with their faith and values. Give them wisdom to know the right steps to take in their journey. We also pray for a supportive community, for individuals who can encourage them and hold them accountable.

Father, we know that change takes time, so we ask for patience. Help them to be patient with themselves as they work through this process. We trust that You are with them every step of the way.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're here to listen and support you, just as you are. Let's keep encouraging each other, shall we?

Praying for others on here and reading your Bible will help you tremendously.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.

Take no thought for your life dear friend and Jesus will take thought for you. Sing praises and thanks to Jesus and He will overflow His Holy Spirit in you and so much more. He will fight for you and give you the desires of your heart.
