We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear soul who is entangled in sin and deception. Father God, we know that You desire all to come to repentance and none to perish (2 Peter 3:9), and so we intercede for this man with fervent prayer, asking that You would break the chains of narcissism, pride, and perversion that bind him.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of rebellion that has hardened his heart against Your truth. The fear of man is a snare (Proverbs 29:25), and we ask that You replace his fear of gossip and judgment with a holy fear of You alone. Let Your conviction fall upon him like a consuming fire, pricking his conscience until he can no longer ignore the weight of his sin. We declare that no demonic influence will have dominion over him, for "greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4). Holy Spirit, we invite You to move mightily in his life, exposing every lie he has believed—especially the deception that he could ever be anything other than the man You created him to be. Your Word is clear: "Male and female He created them" (Genesis 1:27), and any distortion of that truth is an abomination to You (Romans 1:26-27). Let him feel the full weight of Your grief over his sin, not so he would be crushed, but so he would turn to You in repentance.
We pray that You would shatter the hypocrisy in his life. Jesus warned that many would come to Him on the last day, boasting of their works, only to hear the terrifying words, "I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness" (Matthew 7:23). Lord, let this be a wake-up call for him. Do not let him be deceived into thinking that outward displays of spirituality can replace a transformed heart. We ask that You would bring him to a place of true brokenness, where he sees his sin as You see it—disgusting, destructive, and worthy of Your wrath. But then, Lord, let him also see the cross, where Your Son bore that wrath in his place. Let him fall to his knees in repentance, crying out for mercy, and let him rise a new creation, washed clean by the blood of Jesus.
We plead the blood of Jesus over his mind and soul, commanding every demonic spirit of perversion, confusion, and pride to flee in Jesus' name. Let him be delivered from the torment that has held him captive, and let him experience the freedom that comes from walking in Your truth. We pray that he would hate sin as You hate it, that he would turn from it with revulsion, and that he would cling to righteousness with all his heart. Let him no longer be a worker of lawlessness but a faithful servant, known by You and welcomed into Your kingdom.
Father, we know that transformation is Your work, not ours. So we surrender this man into Your hands, trusting that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we could ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We ask that You would surround him with godly men who will speak truth into his life, hold him accountable, and model the love and holiness of Christ. Let him no longer be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of his mind (Romans 12:2). And when he stands before You, let it not be as a stranger but as a beloved child, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), the only name that has power to break every chain. May Your will be done in his life, and may he come to know the joy of walking in Your ways. Amen.
