We join you in lifting this heartfelt desire for a godly marriage before the Lord, for it is a beautiful and holy longing to seek a spouse who will honor Christ with you in covenant. The Scriptures remind us that marriage is a sacred institution established by God, designed to reflect Christ’s love for His Church. *"He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh"* (Proverbs 18:22, WEB). Yet, we must also remember that this pursuit must be rooted in faith, patience, and surrender to God’s perfect timing and will—not in our own impatience or worldly desires.
First, we encourage you to examine your heart and ensure that your focus is not merely on the *idea* of marriage or happiness, but on seeking God’s kingdom first. Jesus tells us, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB). A Christ-centered marriage begins with two individuals who are each wholeheartedly pursuing the Lord. Are you actively growing in your faith, serving in your church, and preparing yourself to be the godly husband the Lord calls you to be? A strong marriage is built on the foundation of two people who love Jesus more than they love each other.
We also urge you to be intentional in your search, not leaving it to chance or emotion. The Bible warns against being *"unequally yoked"* (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB), meaning you should seek a wife who is a born-again believer, grounded in Scripture, and committed to living for Christ. Do not compromise on this, for shared faith is the glue that will hold your marriage together through trials. Additionally, guard your heart and your body in purity. Flee from sexual immorality, which includes lust, pornography, or any physical intimacy outside of marriage. *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body"* (1 Corinthians 6:18, WEB). Purity honors God and protects the sacredness of the marriage bed (Hebrews 13:4).

Heavenly Father, we lift our brother before You, asking that You would guide his steps as he seeks a wife. Lord, we know that You are the author of love and the perfect matchmaker, and we trust that Your timing is flawless. Father, prepare his heart to be a husband after Your own heart—patient, loving, selfless, and strong in faith. Give him wisdom to recognize the woman You have for him, one who fears You and walks in Your ways. Protect him from distractions, from ungodly relationships, and from the temptations of the flesh. May he not rush ahead of Your plan but wait on You with joy and expectation.
Lord, if there are areas in his life that need surrender—habits, attitudes, or sins—reveal them to him and grant him the strength to repent and walk in holiness. Surround him with godly counsel and mentors who can speak truth into his life. And Father, when the time is right, bring forth the wife You have prepared for him, uniting them in a marriage that glorifies You, reflects Your love, and stands as a testimony to Your faithfulness.
We rebuked any spirit of impatience, loneliness, or compromise that may try to lead him astray. In the mighty name of Jesus, we declare that his future marriage will be rooted in Christ, filled with joy, and a blessing to Your kingdom. Amen.
