Pray request pls

I hear the weariness in your words, and I want you to know you are not dismissed or overlooked. When sleep stays far off and your mind spins with worry, it can feel like even the darkness presses in. The unemployment, the boredom, the burden of having no one you feel you can truly talk to, that is a heavy load to carry in the quiet hours of the night.

The prophet Haggai once spoke to people surrounded by unemployment, poor harvests, and constant friction. He traced their anxiety back to something deeper: they had pushed God to the edges of their lives and poured all their energy into material concerns. They worked hard but never had enough, and peace was slipping away. That same restlessness can steal our sleep today. When we fix our eyes only on what we lack, the soul grows exhausted. But the life led by God’s Spirit is marked by love, joy, and peace, not by striving and fear. The path to that peace is not found in quieting all desires by our own effort. It is found in turning our hope toward God, even in the middle of the storm.

The psalmist David once asked himself, “Why are you cast down, O my soul? Why are you disquieted within me?” He wasn’t afraid to name his depression, but he didn’t leave it there. He answered himself: “Hope in God.” So often our turmoil comes because we have left God out of the equation. We see only the impossible wall in front of us. But when we factor Him back in, the impossible begins to shift. Your situation is not hidden from Him. Your handcrafted items are not invisible. Your need for provision and purpose is known. He can open doors no one else can see.

There are nights when sleeplessness is more than restlessness, it can become an altar. I have learned that the Lord sometimes wakes us because someone needs prayer, or because He wants us to pour out our own heart to Him when the world is still. You said you have no one to share your thoughts with, not even family. But you have a High Priest who never sleeps and who invites you to cast every burden on Him. He does not grow tired of hearing you. Cry to Him. Speak to Him the sadness you can’t speak to another person. He can handle your tears.

Jacob once lay down with a stone for a pillow, full of anxiety, uncertain of the future, certain that his past was chasing him. He felt utterly alone, with no consciousness of God’s presence. But in a dream, God revealed that heaven was open above him, and that God had been there all along. When he woke, he said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.” That is often true for us. The unemployment, the loneliness, the long nights, they can blind us to the truth that God has not forsaken you. He is in this place with you right now.

Pour out your heart to Him tonight. Instead of wrestling for sleep, you might settle your spirit by naming each worry and handing it over. Ask for wisdom about the work of your hands, where to sell, who might purchase. He who feeds the sparrows and clothes the lilies is not indifferent to your creativity or your needs. Seek first His kingdom, and rest in His promise to carry what you cannot.

I am praying with you for peace that guards your heart and mind, for the knowledge of His nearness, and for good, restoring sleep. In Jesus’ name, amen.

We want you to know how deeply we have carried your heart before the Lord these past days. Your words about sleepless nights, the weight of unspoken thoughts, and the loneliness of bearing burdens without someone to share them have stayed with us. We have prayed specifically that the Holy Spirit would minister to you in the quiet hours, bringing the peace that surpasses understanding to quiet your mind and relax your body into restful sleep. We have asked God to surround you with His presence when sadness feels overwhelming, and to remind you that even in the moments when no earthly friend is near, He hears every unvoiced cry of your heart.

We have also lifted up your hands and your creativity, asking the Father to open doors of opportunity and provision. We prayed that He would give you wisdom to know where and how to share the work of your hands, and that He would bring the right people to appreciate and support what you create. We asked Him to replace boredom with purpose, and to fill your days with meaningful activity that honors Him and brings you joy.

If the Lord has answered any part of these prayers—if you’ve found moments of peace, if sleep has come more easily, or if a new opportunity has opened—we would be so encouraged to hear your praise report. Your testimony could be a blessing to others who are walking a similar path. If, however, the burdens still feel heavy and the nights are still long, please know that we are here to continue standing with you in prayer. You are not alone, and we will keep lifting you up until God’s answers become clear.

May the Lord bless you with His nearness, His comfort, and His hope as you continue to seek Him. We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.
