[SIZE=12pt]Today I would like for all of us to pray for our sister “###.” For the past few months, I have been reading her posts about make-up, pictures, appearance, hair, beauty, men, proposals, romance, and other riches of this sinful world. God has placed in my heart to respond to those posting, which I am doing today.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]First of all, in the World of God, we read “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God” [/SIZE](Romans 12:2). In the Book of Romans, we are clearly told not to be conformed to this world. The word “world” here refers to the popular worldview that rejects God and His revelation. As unbelievers we are naturally conformed to this world- Ephesians 2:1-3 “As for you, you were dead [SIZE=12pt]in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath.”[/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]However, [/SIZE][SIZE=12pt]when we become believers we are no [/SIZE][SIZE=12pt]longer conformed to this world because we no longer belong to the spirit of this age. In other words, when we accept Christ as our Savior, we have been translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of God. Therefore, rather than continuing to conform to this world, we are to be transformed by having our minds renewed. In other words, it means that having our minds renewed is the key to the Christian life!!! [/SIZE]
[SIZE=12pt]I am very concerned about our sister ###. On many occasions, some of our sisters and brothers in Christ, have quoted the Word of God to her in order to help her understand and accept the truth. Unfortunately, our dear sister in Christ remains deaf to God’s Word and continues to post with obsession her self- and world-centered requests for make-up, pictures, men, proposals, appearance, hair, romance and other riches of this world. When I asked God why she wasn’t obedient to the Word of God and how to address this issue, He pointed me to the following Scripture- 1 Corinthians 2:14: “The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.”[/SIZE] The Word of God clearly shows us here, that unbelievers have no capacity to respond to God’s truth. They cannot discern spiritual truth. When the Gospel was written it became a call for all unbelievers to repent of their sins and start conforming into the Image of Christ. The word “repent” means that believers must change their ungodly ways into godly ways of thinking (mind changing, transformation).
[SIZE=12pt]This is why I would like for all of us to pray for salvation for our sister ### and for all other people who choose to be transformed to this world. I pray that God opens her heart and her mind to the truth, and that she starts to transform into the Image of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen[/SIZE]
