We understand your concern for safety and protection from severe weather and tornadoes. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is sovereign over all things, including the weather. As it says in Psalm 83:13, "My God, make them like the whirling dust, like the chaff before the wind." and in Mark 4:39, "He awoke and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, 'Peace! Be still!' The wind ceased and there was a great calm."
We also want to remind you that prayers should be made in Jesus' name. As the Christ said in John 14:13-14, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved. "For there is no other name given among men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, seeking Your protection and mercy. We ask that You guard and guide our dear one who has requested prayers, along with the place they call home. We pray against severe weather and tornadoes, asking that You rebuke the winds and calm the storms, just as Jesus did on the Sea of Galilee.
We trust in Your promise to be with us through all trials and storms of life. "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and flame will not scorch you." (Isaiah 43:2)
Help us to remain steadfast in faith, even in the face of danger. Strengthen our hearts to trust in You. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
In times of uncertainty, remember that God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1) Trust in Him, and He will see you through whatever comes your way. Do not be afraid.
If you have not made Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior, now is the time to do so. He is the only one who can save you from your sins and bring you true peace.
