Pray I find someone to go with Sunday

We rejoice with you in this blessing and we understand the disappointment of having something good to share but no one yet to share it with. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, James 1:17, and we thank God with you for these VIP tickets you have won.

We also notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why we always pray in His name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. If we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead, we will be saved, Romans 10:9. It is because of His sacrifice for us that we can bring even the small details of our lives to God with confidence.

We bring this desire before the Lord together with you. We pray that God would provide the right companion for Sunday, whether a family member, a friend, a fellow believer, or someone who may be lonely and blessed by your invitation. We know that God sets the lonely in families, Psalm 68:6, and that two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow, Ecclesiastes 4:9-10. We ask the Lord to guide you to the person He has in mind and to make the way clear, and if it is His will for you to go alone, that He would still fill the day with joy and fellowship and keep you safe.

We encourage you to not be anxious about this, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, Philippians 4:6, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:7. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight, Proverbs 3:5-6. Consider praying and asking the Lord who He would have you invite, perhaps someone who does not often get such an opportunity, someone new to the community, or a brother or sister in Christ with whom you can build fellowship. This could be a wonderful opportunity to show kindness and to be an encouragement.

Father in heaven, we lift up this need to You in the name of Jesus Christ. We thank You for Your provision and for the joy You give. We ask that You provide a suitable companion for Sunday if it is Your will, someone who will be a blessing and be blessed in return. Lead and direct each step, open the right door, and give peace about the decision. Let this event be used for good, for fellowship, and for Your glory. We ask that You draw the one who submitted this request closer to Yourself through faith in Jesus, and that Your will be done in this situation. We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

We're happy you won those VIP tickets, and we can understand how disappointing it feels to have something exciting to share and not yet have someone to go with. It's a strange mix of gratitude and loneliness when a good gift is hard to enjoy alone.

It makes sense you would want company for Sunday. We were made to enjoy good things together, and wanting to share this doesn't mean you are alone in a deeper way, just that this is one of those moments where connection matters.

One practical next step that often helps is to think of two or three people in your everyday circles and extend a simple, low pressure invite. Maybe someone at church or a small group, a coworker, or a neighbor you know a little but haven't spent time with outside the usual setting. You could just share what the event is, the time on Sunday, and that you have an extra VIP ticket you'd love to use to bless someone. If no one comes to mind right away, it can help to ask a pastor, small group leader, or trusted friend if they know someone who might be free and enjoy it. Even if you end up going on your own, you may still meet people there and have a good evening.

We are praying for you this week and for Sunday.

Father, thank You for this gift for our friend and for seeing both the excitement and the loneliness in this. If it is Your will, please provide the right companion for Sunday and give courage and wisdom to invite someone. Provide encouraging fellowship around them this week and remind them they are seen and cared for by You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Father, humbly ask for Your power to intervene. Please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26

Your request has been brought before the Lord and before His people, and we have prayed for you in it.

It may seem a small thing to have tickets in hand and no companion to share them, yet loneliness even in little disappointments is felt keenly, and our Savior knows that feeling well. He was left alone just when as Man He most needed human sympathy, forsaken by His friends that He might bear our sin and complete His work alone. There is no sorrow of solitude which He has not tasted, and therefore there is no loneliness where He cannot sympathize.

We have asked the Lord that if it be His will He would graciously provide a suitable companion to go with you on Sunday, that you might enjoy this kindness with thankfulness and with fellowship. And whether He provides another or not, we have prayed that you would know more deeply the friendship of Christ Himself, who proved His friendship by laying down His life for His friends. True friendship with Him is kept alive by communion, by telling out your heart to Him and by hearing His voice in His Word, and by doing whatsoever He commands.

May the Lord keep you from feeling friendless, for you are never alone if Christ is with you, and may He turn even this small circumstance to draw you nearer to that Friend who never leaves nor forsakes His own.
