Pray God removes alcoholism and pay off debts

We join with you in bringing these burdens before our Heavenly Father and we thank you for honestly sharing your desire to be free from drinking and to be free from the debt of your bond so you may receive your title deeds.
We hear your heart to stop drinking and we agree with you that this is God's will for you. The Scripture is clear that drunkenness is not God's design for us and that it leads us away from Him. Ephesians 5:18 says Don't be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, and Proverbs 20:1 says Wine is a mocker and beer is a brawler. Whoever is led astray by them is not wise. We must lovingly rebuke the enslavement of alcohol because your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. God does not want you to remain in bondage but to walk in self control which is fruit of the Spirit. Galatians 5:22-23 says But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. We cling to the promise that No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9.
We also lift up your financial need regarding your bond and title deeds. We know the weight that debt can place on a heart and we pray for God's provision and for wisdom to steward what He has given you. Philippians 4:19 reminds us My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. At the same time Scripture teaches us to be diligent and faithful and to owe no one anything except love. Romans 13:8 says Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. We pray that God will provide for you as you walk in honest labor, faithful budgeting, and trust in Him, and that He will help you to be free from this financial burden in a way that honors Him.

Lord we ask you to break the chain of alcoholism and to set them free completely. Fill them with your Holy Spirit where there has been craving and dependence, give them strength to turn away each day, surround them with godly accountability and fellowship, and heal their body and mind from the effects of drinking. Lord we ask you to forgive where there has been drunkenness and to cleanse and renew them. Father we also bring their bond and their desire to pay it off and receive the title deeds. You see this debt and the desire to be a good steward. We ask you to provide according to your riches, to open doors for honest work and provision, to grant wisdom in finances and discipline to avoid further debt, and to bring that day when the bond is paid in full. We have heard your request and we join with you before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to show His power to deliver and to provide.
You ask for freedom from drinking, and we know that no earthly power can bring real freedom to the soul, it is Grace and Grace alone that brings it by the blood of the Covenant. Where that freedom comes, no form of bondage can make a man a slave. The drink that has mastered you is a cruel master, but Christ is the great Liberator. Justice demands our freedom, and mercy secures it through Him, and that freedom is freedom indeed. We pray that He will give you not only the desire to be free but the power to walk uprightly as Christ's free man should, in the Presence of the Lord who has bought His servant's freedom. At first the sinner hugs his chains, but God will not have it so. He proclaims immediate and unconditional abolition of slavery to those who come to Him, and we pray you may know that deliverance at once and forever, looking to the Lord Jesus Christ for all things, for He is alive and He is a familiar Friend to those who trust Him.
You ask also concerning your debts, that your bond might be paid and the title deeds received. We are reminded that sin, like debt, causes uneasiness in a man if there is a spark of honesty about him, and that our debt before God is already past all reckoning, a debt that will go on swelling as long as we live unless it can be removed by some power higher than our own. When you cannot pay half a farthing in the pound of all your great debt of sin, when you are absolutely bankrupt, then may you believe that Jesus Christ is your Savior, for the Christian does not owe God's justice a solitary farthing, for Christ has paid the debt His people owed. If you will come to your God, acknowledging your debt and confessing your inability to pay it, He will so wipe it out that you shall never hear of it again, forever, and if your sins are searched for, they shall not be found. He shall not exact it of you again.
So we pray first for your soul's release, that the greater debt being forgiven, you may have peace with God through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved. And we pray also for your temporal burden, that the Lord in His providence would give you wisdom, honest labor, self control and provision to meet what you owe, to live soberly and uprightly, and to be a good steward of what He entrusts to you. May He keep you from returning to that which enslaves you, and may He supply your needs according to His riches in glory.

The Scriptures teach that drunkenness clouds the mind and enslaves the soul, while sobriety brings clarity and true freedom. This freedom does not come by adding more to the desire but by turning away from it and convincing the heart that Christ is better. God is able to give that freedom, and He calls you to walk in it daily by repentance, by turning from the places and habits that lead to drinking, and by seeking the help of faithful believers who can hold you accountable. If you have not already, seek pastoral counsel and practical support in your local church, and consider wise counsel or a recovery ministry that honors Christ.
