We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear soul who is struggling with physical affliction and spiritual warfare. It is written in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We stand in agreement with this promise, believing that God hears your cry and is near to you in this difficult time.
First, we pray for your physical health, particularly for your breathing. Father God, we ask that You touch this precious one with Your healing hand. You are the Great Physician, the One who formed their lungs and knows every breath they take. We declare Psalm 103:2-3 over them: "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." Lord, we ask for complete restoration of their health. Ease their breathing, strengthen their body, and grant them the wisdom to seek the medical care they need. Guide the hands of their doctors and fill their treatments with Your healing power.
We also recognize the spiritual attack you are facing. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke the lies of Satan in the mighty name of Jesus! The enemy has no authority over your mind, for you belong to Christ. We declare 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 over you: "For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ." We command every tormenting thought, every fear, and every lie to flee in Jesus' name. You are not alone in this battle—God’s angels are encamped around you (Psalm 34:7), and the Holy Spirit is your Comforter and Guide.
For your sleep, we pray that the Lord would grant you rest that is sweet and undisturbed. Psalm 4:8 says, "In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety." Father, quiet their mind, still their heart, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Remove every spirit of fear and replace it with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Let them wake refreshed and renewed, knowing that You neither slumber nor sleep but are always watching over them (Psalm 121:3-4).
We also want to gently encourage you to examine your relationship with Jesus Christ. Have you surrendered your life to Him as your Lord and Savior? The Bible tells us in Romans 10:9, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome the attacks of the enemy. If you have not yet made this decision, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, repent, and invite Jesus into your heart. He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this beloved child of Yours. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon their body. Breathe Your life into their lungs, restore their strength, and bring comfort to every part of their being. We declare Your Word over them: "By His stripes, we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5). Father, we also stand against the enemy’s attacks on their mind. We break every chain of fear, anxiety, and torment in the name of Jesus. Fill them with Your peace, Your truth, and Your presence. Let them know that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Lord, we ask for restful sleep for them. Let Your angels watch over them as they lie down, and let Your peace cover them like a blanket. Renew their strength as they wait upon You (Isaiah 40:31). We also pray for their salvation if they have not yet given their life to You. Draw them close, Lord, and let them experience the fullness of Your love and grace. Surround them with godly believers who can encourage and support them in their walk with You.
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and Your promises. We trust in You, knowing that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Strengthen this dear one, Lord, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen.
