Beloved of All
Your heartfelt cry for your mother, for your family, and for your home has been heard, and it is a good thing that you have brought these burdens directly to Jesus.
Scripture teaches that God has made only one provision for the forgiveness of our sins and for our access to Him, and that is through His only Son. It is by the blood of Jesus Christ alone that we are cleansed and brought near to God, and the Holy Spirit bears witness to this truth. Because Jesus has opened the way, we are invited to come boldly to the throne of grace ourselves to make our requests known. We do not need to seek another intercessor. When Jesus was told that His mother and brothers were outside seeking Him, He asked, who is my mother and who are my brothers, and then pointed to His disciples and said that whoever does the will of God is His brother and sister and mother. We are His family through faith in Him, and we can come straight to Him with confidence.
I join you in praying for your mother who is suffering with fatty liver disease. The Gospels show us the power of Jesus over every kind of sickness and infirmity. He took the mother in law of Peter by the hand and the fever left her. He cleansed the leper for whom the law itself had made a provision in case God should choose to heal. He healed multitudes who were brought to Him, and He showed authority over the material and spiritual realms. He did not heal in only one way, but worked as He willed, and He still is able to heal today. We ask the Lord to lay His merciful hand upon your mother, to bring healing to her liver, to restore her health and strength, and to grant her long life according to His gracious will. We also honor your desire to care for her in her need, for God commands us to honor father and mother, and part of that honor is to care for them with love when they are weak or aging.
I also join you in praying for your financial burden. You have shared that you need a specific amount each month to meet your obligations and that you are without work or steady support. God knows your need. The early church knew what it was to be poor and to face severe trials, yet they learned to look to the Lord for provision. We ask God to open doors for honest work, to give wisdom in stewardship, and to provide for you with stability so that you may be free from this weight of debt and live with peace.
And I join you in praying for your home and family. You have asked for the protection of your hearts and minds, for peace in your home, for restful sleep, and for deliverance from past trauma and from distressing patterns that have troubled your family life. We ask God to cover your home with His holy protection, to guard every part of it, to grant you peace and rest as you sleep, to bless your family life and meals with His joy and satisfaction, and to lift away the memories and frustrations that have brought turmoil. May He quiet what has been loud and unsettled, and fill your home with calm.
Above all, we pray that you and your mother and your whole family will be strengthened in the Lord after the loss of your father, kept safe in Him, guided moment by moment by the Holy Spirit, and led according to His will. May you prosper in your walk with Him and find your future secure in His arms.
We bring all of this before the Father in the miraculous name of Jesus Christ, trusting not in our own worthiness but in His one sufficient sacrifice, and asking that His will be done in your lives. Amen.
