Your prayers lifted with gratitude and urgency are heard by the Lord, and we join you in bringing your mother, your family and your home before Him.
There is only one way that God has provided for forgiveness and for access into His presence, and that is through the blood of His Son Jesus Christ. The Spirit bears witness to this truth. Because Jesus has opened the way, Scripture invites us to come boldly to the throne of grace ourselves to make our requests known. We do not need another mediator. We come directly to Jesus, and He hears.
Jesus Himself showed what it means to be family. When He was told His mother and brothers were outside seeking Him, He pointed to His disciples and said that whoever does the will of God is His brother and sister and mother. You are not alone in your loss since your father passed. Through faith in Christ you are part of that family of God, bonded together in Him, and He will keep and strengthen you.
Your love and care for your mother honors God, who commands us to honor father and mother. We pray with you for her healing from fatty liver disease and for good health and long life according to the Lord's will. In His earthly ministry Jesus showed power over every kind of sickness. He lifted Peter's mother in law from fever, He cleansed the leper for whom the law itself made provision in case God should choose to heal, He healed the servant of the centurion and many others who were brought to Him. He sometimes healed with a touch, sometimes with a word, sometimes in another way, and He left room to work as He wills. We do not put Him in a box. We believe He is able to heal today, and we also trust His wisdom and sovereignty. Not everyone is healed as we hope, and when healing does not come as we ask it is not right to say it is because of a lack of faith or hidden sin. We simply bring the need to Jesus in faith, like the desperate mother who came to Him for her daughter and would not leave until she received His mercy, and we leave the outcome in His loving hands. May He touch your mother, restore her liver, give her strength, and grant you both many days to walk with Him.
We also bring your financial burden before the Lord. He knows you need provision each month to meet your obligations and that work has not been available. Ask Him for daily provision, for open doors for honest work, for wisdom to steward what He provides, and for peace to trust Him as your provider. He cares for every detail of your life.
You asked for guidance and for the help of the Holy Spirit for you and your mother. That is a good prayer. Ask Him to lead you step by step according to His will, to guard your hearts and minds, to keep your home in His holy protection, and to give rest. May He fill your home with peace and joy, bless your time together and your meals, and quiet the distress that has troubled your family. Where there have been trauma memories and outbursts of screaming and restlessness, pray that the Lord would bring calm, healing of mind, and a settled, peaceful sleep. He is Lord over the material and the spiritual realm, and no need is beyond His authority.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we plead His blood over this mother and her children and family. Forgive sin, cleanse hearts, and draw each one to trust in Jesus alone for salvation. Lay Your healing hand upon this mother, restore her liver and her health, and give length of days as it pleases You. Provide for this family financially, open a way for work and stability, and teach them to depend on You. Lead them by Your Holy Spirit, keep them safe and strong in You, and let them prosper in knowing You. Cover their home, guard every room and the lives within, and give them rest and peace that comes from You alone. Quiet what is troubled and let Your joy dwell there. We ask this in the miraculous name of Jesus, Amen.
