Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart so openly and for bringing your mother, your family and your needs before the Lord. I hear the weight you are carrying, concern for your mother's health with fatty liver disease and your desire for her to have a long life, the pressure of financial debt without steady work, the grief of missing your father, and the longing for peace and protection over your home and for freedom from past trauma and distress in your family life.
There is good news that anchors every prayer we offer. God has made one provision for the forgiveness of our sins and for our access to Him, and that is through His Son Jesus Christ and His blood shed for us. The Holy Spirit bears witness to this truth. There is no other way for sin to be put away, and because Jesus has opened the way, you do not need any other intercessor. You can come boldly and directly to the throne of grace to make your requests known. Scripture shows Jesus saying when told His mother and brothers were outside, who is my mother and who are my brothers, and then pointing to His disciples and saying that whoever does the will of God is His brother and sister and mother. We are welcomed into the family of God through a living relationship with Jesus Himself, and we can speak to Him directly in prayer.
The Bible shows the power of Jesus to heal in many different ways. He lifted Peter's mother in law from a fever and she rose up, He cleansed a leper and told him to show himself to the priest according to the law that God had given for the day of cleansing, leaving room for God to work a miracle even in an incurable disease, He healed the servant of a centurion with a word, and He welcomed crowds of sick and troubled people in the evening and showed authority in the physical and spiritual realm, even calming wind and sea. He did not use one fixed method, which reminds us not to put God in a box. He is able to heal today, and healing rests in His sovereign will and compassion. I am praying that the Lord will touch your mother's body, bring healing to her liver, restore her health and strength, and grant her length of days according to His mercy. I also pray He will strengthen you and your mother and the rest of your family as you honor her and care for her, which God calls children to do, and as you walk through life without your father here.
Your financial need is also before the Lord and He knows it fully. You have asked for help to meet monthly obligations and to find stability and work. God sees when His people are poor and under pressure, and He is able to provide, to open doors for work, to give wisdom for stewardship, and to give contentment and joy even in hardship. I pray He will provide for you in practical ways, guide you to honest provision, lift the burden of debt, and lead you into greater stability as you seek His will and trust Him day by day.
You asked for the Holy Spirit's help and for guidance according to God's will, and for strength and safety and a good future in His hands. That is the right desire. To be in the family of God is to walk with Jesus and to do the will of the Father, bonded together in Christ. I pray the Holy Spirit will lead you and your mother moment by moment, keep your hearts and minds in Christ, and give you wisdom to follow the Lord's direction.
You also asked for protection over your home and for peace over your hearts, minds, meals and activities, and for relief from painful memories and from screaming and distressing behaviors in the family. I pray the Lord will cover your home and your hearts with His holy protection, that He will guard your minds, that He will give you restful and peaceful sleep and fill your home with His peace and joy. I pray He will bring calm where there has been turmoil, heal past trauma, and bring quietness and order and comfort, for He has authority over every affliction and He is full of compassion toward those who come to Him in faith. Like the desperate mother who came to Jesus for her daughter and would not leave until she received His help, keep coming to Jesus and bring every need to Him.
May the Lord keep you and your mother and your children, strengthen you, provide for you, heal where healing is needed, and draw you ever closer to Himself. Continue to trust in Jesus alone for salvation and for every need, and to seek His will in all things.
