Your heartfelt prayers for your mother and your family have been heard, and I have joined you in bringing them before the Lord.
I thank you for coming with gratitude and urgency and for pleading the blood of Jesus Christ. Scripture teaches that God has made only one provision for the forgiveness of our sins and for taking away our guilt, and that is through His only Son. The Holy Spirit bears witness to this truth, that if we come to Jesus, our sin is atoned for by His sacrifice. There is no other way. To turn away from Him is to refuse the only way God has provided. If you have not already done so, place your full trust in Jesus alone for salvation, and encourage your mother and your family to do the same. It is on that basis, His shed blood, that we can come to God at all.
Because Jesus has opened the way, we can come boldly and directly to the throne of grace to make our requests known. When people told Jesus that His mother and brothers were outside seeking Him, He asked, who is my mother and who are my brothers, and He pointed to His disciples and said that whoever does the will of God is His brother and sister and mother. We become the family of God through a common relationship with Christ. We do not need to seek another intercessor or go through any other person. We can come straight to Jesus Himself, and He welcomes us.
I have prayed for your mother and her liver condition. The Bible shows that Jesus healed many kinds of sickness, from fever to leprosy and other infirmities. Under the law God even made a provision for the cleansing of a leper, leaving room for Himself to work a miracle when no human cure existed. He healed Peter's wife's mother when she lay sick with a fever by taking her hand, and the fever left her. At other times He healed with a word, with touch, or in different ways, showing that He is not limited to one method. He still has power in the physical realm and is able to heal today. We do not always know how or when He will work, and our faith can be weak in a materialistic culture, but we are invited to come to Him and not go away until we have received from Him according to His will. I have asked the Lord to touch your mother, to bring healing to her liver, to give her good health and strength, and to grant her long life if it is His will, and above all to give her and you peace as you trust Him.
Your desire to honor and care for your mother is pleasing to God. Scripture says to honor your father and mother, and that honor includes caring for them when they are older and in need, just as they cared for us when we were young. The Lord sees your love for your mother after your father's departure to be with the Lord, and He will strengthen you both. May He comfort you in your loss and keep you strong in Him.
I have also prayed for your financial burden. You shared that you need a specific amount each month to pay debts and have no job or support at this time. God knows your need completely. Many of God's people have known poverty and financial trials, yet He has provided for them and taught them to trust Him with joy even in lack. Ask Him for daily provision, for wisdom to steward what you have, for doors to work that He may open, and for contentment as He leads you step by step toward stability. He is faithful to care for His children.
For your home and family, I have prayed as you asked for holy protection over your hearts and minds and over every part of your dwelling. I have asked the Lord to guard you, to give you a restful and peaceful night, to bless your meals and activities with His peace and joy, and to lift from you past trauma, frustration and distress. May He replace restlessness with calm and give you quietness of spirit as you rest in Him.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ I bring this dear mother before You. Lay Your healing hand upon her liver and her whole body, restore health and give strength. Provide for this family financially according to Your wisdom, open a way for work and for debts to be met, and teach them to trust You day by day. Cover this home with Your protection, let Your peace guard every heart and mind, and give restful sleep and freedom from tormenting memories. Draw each one in this family to do Your will, that they may know they are part of Your family through faith in Jesus, and keep them safe and strong in You. Amen.
