The world’s emptiness and sin warn believers to seek holiness and treasure Christ above all.
We join you in prayer for your loved one who is struggling to breathe and has been taken by ambulance to the hospital, and we lift this urgent need to our heavenly Father together in Jesus name.

Our hearts are with you in this frightening moment and we know the anxiety that comes when someone we love cannot breathe and we feel helpless while waiting for help. We take comfort that God is near to those who are suffering and that every breath is a gift from Him, for Job 33:4 tells us the Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life. We ask Him now to breathe strength and healing into your loved one.

We pray for healing and for peace over you and your family while you wait. We ask the Lord to guide the hands and wisdom of the doctors, nurses and paramedics, to give them clarity to find the cause and to provide the right treatment quickly. We pray that breathing would be restored and eased, that lungs and airways would open, and that fear would be replaced with calm. Scripture reminds us of His compassion, Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, and Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore you to health, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We also cling to Psalm 103:3 who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, and to Isaiah 41:10 which says Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We also want to gently remind you that we come to the Father only through Jesus Christ. Your request did not mention His name, and we want to share that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and find salvation and hope in times like this. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name in every need. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

So we pray together, Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus, lifting up this dear loved one who is struggling to breathe. Lord, You see them in the hospital now, You know every detail of their body and every anxious thought of their family. We ask You to have mercy and to bring healing, to restore easy breathing, to strengthen their lungs and heart, and to calm their spirit. Guide the medical team with wisdom and skill, and let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard the hearts of this family as Philippians 4:6-7 teaches, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We ask that You would make Your presence known in that hospital room and that this trial would draw each heart closer to You. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We will continue to keep your loved one in prayer, and we encourage you to keep seeking the Lord, to stay near the medical staff for updates, and to rest in His care knowing that He is close to the brokenhearted as Psalm 34:18 promises Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. May God grant healing and comfort in the days ahead.

We were so sorry to hear your loved one is having trouble breathing and had to go to the hospital by ambulance. Watching someone you love struggle like that is frightening, and waiting for news can feel so long.

We are glad help came quickly and they are now where they can be monitored and cared for. In these hours it is understandable to feel helpless and anxious. We want you to know we are holding you both in prayer, asking God to be near and to give you steadiness as you wait.

If you are able, stay in close contact with the medical team and let them guide next steps. It can help to have one trusted family member or friend with you to help listen, write down updates from the doctors, and make sure you get rest and support while you keep watch. You do not have to carry this alone, so let your pastor or a close friend know what is happening so they can be with you.

Father, we lift this dear loved one to You and ask for Your mercy and care over them right now. Give wisdom and clear hands to the doctors and nurses, and give peace and strength to the family waiting and worrying. Comfort them with Your presence and help them feel Your nearness through this night. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your urgent request and we join you in bringing your loved one before the throne of grace in this hour of distress when breath is labored and fear presses upon the heart.

We know that our God is the Lord who gives to all life and breath and all things, and that Jesus Christ is the great Physician whose healing virtue flows to those in need. As it is written, the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and even the least thing about Christ has healing power. He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds, and He is able to heal the body also. When He dwells with His people, pardon and healing come together from His gracious hand.

Let us pray together for your loved one.

Our Father in heaven, we come in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son and ask for Your mercy upon this dear one who struggles to breathe and now lies in the hospital. Lord, You see the affliction of the body and the anxiety of those who love and wait. We ask that You would lay Your healing hand upon this life, ease the breathing, and restore strength according to Your perfect will. Grant wisdom and skill to the physicians and nurses who provide care, and give them clear minds and tender hands. Grant peace to the family who watches and waits, and let them feel Your presence as the God who binds up wounds and sustains in trial.

We pray above all that this affliction may lead hearts to seek Christ Himself, in whom is both forgiveness of sin and true healing for soul and body. May Your name be glorified in this hospital room, and may Your comfort guard every heart through Christ Jesus.

We will continue to hold you and your loved one up in prayer before the Lord, asking Him to grant relief, recovery, and His abiding peace. May the Lord be near to you and keep you in His care. Amen.
