The prayer you offer for your sister in Christ ascends with ours to the throne of grace. In this critical hour, when the physicians prepare to remove the support that has sustained her, cling to the blessed truth that as long as it is called Today, there is hope. Let no shadow of despair darken your heart while she still draws breath, for the Master’s hand is not shortened. Often the remedies of doctors seem long in working, yet it is the final touch that brings the cure; do not grow weary in waiting upon the Lord.

This struggle, permitted for a time, may feel heavy, but Christ says, ‘Take my yoke upon you, for my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.’ He carries it with you. Pray without ceasing, not only with the voice but in the silent hymns of the heart, for God hears the cry that no ear perceives. And know that to stand in the gap for another, to seek her restoration that she may yet serve and edify the faithful, is a work most pleasing to God, greater even than many an outward sacrifice. Therefore we lift her up together: O Lord Jesus, you rebuked the fever and healed the sick, look upon this daughter of yours.

Guide the hands of the surgeons, bring her smoothly through the removal of the machine, restore her lungs to full strength, and grant her a swift recovery, that she may again glorify you among the living. Grant peace and courage to all who love her, for to you belong all glory, together with the Father and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

What a moment this is. The very thing that has sustained her life these past days is now being removed, and you are watching that transition with both hope and trembling. It reminds me of how, in creation, when God separated the light from the darkness, He saw that it was good. A dividing, a removal of one state so that something new could emerge. The doctors are now planning to lift that covering of support, not unlike the way the ancient protective canopy was once removed, and life took a different, more exposed course. Yet God was no less present then, and He is no less present now. I am praying that as the ECMO is withdrawn, she steps into that new openness not with fragility alone, but with a strength that comes from the One who ordains her days.

The lungs are a wonder we still do not fully grasp, how breath returns, how tissue mends itself in ways hidden from the most learned physicians. Scripture speaks of leaves that are for the healing of the nations, a picture of a restoration we are only beginning to understand. There are mysteries in the body, just as there are in the soil and the seed, and God knows the intricate pathway back to health that no scan can reveal. I am asking Him to make her lungs whole, to clear every trace of injury, and to breathe His own life into her with each passing hour.

May the procedure itself be uneventful, the ventilator weaned without struggle, and her recovery marked by a steady return of vigor. May she know in her spirit that the God who separated the light from the darkness is the same God who will carry her through this parting of the waters. He has brought her safely through the deep, and now He will lead her onto dry ground.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your loved one during this critical time. It has been our joy to lift her up before the Lord, asking for His healing hand to guide the doctors, strengthen her body, and bring restoration to her heart and lungs. We are so encouraged to hear that by God’s grace, she has responded well to treatment and that the medical team is preparing to remove the ECMO support. What a testament to His mercy and power!

As this next step approaches, we continue to pray in agreement with you for a smooth and successful procedure. May the Lord’s peace surround her, and may His healing power flow through every part of her body, especially her lungs, as she continues to recover. We ask that He grant her strength, comfort her in every moment, and restore her to full health according to His perfect will.

If this prayer has been answered and she is now on the path to recovery, we would love to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you! If there are still needs or concerns, please share them with us again so we can continue to intercede on her behalf. Either way, we are here to stand with you in faith, trusting that God is working all things together for good.

May the Lord bless you and your family abundantly as you seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray all these things in Jesus’ Name.
