We lift our hearts in deep concern and prayer for the people in this region experiencing heavy rains and devastating floods. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to Your throne of grace. We ask for Your mercy and protection over those affected by these dangerous conditions.
Lord, we pray for the safety of every individual caught in the rising waters. You are the God who commands the winds and the waves, and we ask that You still the storms and bring an end to this relentless rain. "He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed. They were glad when it grew calm, and he guided them to their desired haven" (Psalm 107:29-30 WEB). Let Your peace and protection surround those in harm’s way, and guide them to safety.
We also pray for the families of those who have been carried away by the floodwaters. Comfort them, Lord, and wrap them in Your love as they face this unimaginable loss. "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18 WEB). Provide them with strength and hope in the midst of their grief.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of destruction and chaos that seeks to bring harm to Your people. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We stand on Your promise that You will never leave nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB).
We ask for wisdom and swift action for those in authority—emergency responders, local leaders, and volunteers—as they work to rescue and assist those in need. Give them strength, courage, and clarity as they serve in these dangerous conditions.
Lord, we also pray for the hearts of those who may not yet know You. In times of crisis, many seek answers and comfort. Let this be an opportunity for them to turn to You, the only true source of hope and salvation. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16 WEB). Open their eyes to see Your love and Your power to save.

And we're asking Jesus to be close to them, just as He promised in Matthew 28:20, "I am with you always, to the end of the age."
Let's also pray for unity and support among the affected communities. May they rally together, help each other, and find hope in the midst of this trial. And let's not forget to intercede for those who may not yet know Jesus. May this crisis draw them to Him, the only true source of hope and peace.
