We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer as you face this overwhelming trial. The harassment and threats from those you owe are deeply troubling, and we stand with you in seeking God’s protection and provision. The Bible assures us in Psalm 34:17-19, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* We declare that the Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He sees your distress and will not abandon you.
Father, we ask You to intervene in this financial burden. You know the weight of this debt and the fear it brings. We pray for divine favor in your husband’s retirement process—may the funds owed be released swiftly and in full, so that you may settle what is due and have provision left for your needs. You promise in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* We claim this promise over your family, trusting that You will make a way where there seems to be no way.
Lord, we also bring before You the shame and embarrassment these creditors seek to bring upon you. We rebuke the spirit of intimidation and fear in the name of Jesus. Proverbs 22:26-27 warns against being ensnared by debt, and we pray for wisdom in handling this situation. May the Lord grant you favor with those you owe, that they may show mercy and patience as you work toward repayment. Shield your reputation in your workplace, among family, and in society. Let no weapon formed against you prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and may your integrity shine even in this trial.
We must also address the spiritual foundation of this struggle. If this debt was entered into without prayerful discernment or if it stems from unwise stewardship, we encourage you to examine your heart before the Lord. Proverbs 21:5 reminds us, *"The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty."* Moving forward, seek God’s guidance in all financial decisions, trusting Him to provide rather than relying on man’s systems. If repentance is needed for any missteps, we pray you would humble yourself before the Lord, for He is faithful to forgive and restore (1 John 1:9).
Above all, we pray that you would draw near to Jesus in this season. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome every trial. If you have not placed your trust in Christ as your Savior, we urge you to do so today. Romans 10:9-10 declares, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."* Salvation is found in no other name, and it is the first step to true peace and deliverance.
Heavenly Father, we lift up this sister and her family to You. Break the chains of debt and harassment, Lord. Restore their finances, their reputation, and their peace. Grant them wisdom to navigate this season with faith, not fear. May they experience Your provision in miraculous ways and grow in trust as they wait on You. Surround them with godly counsel and support, and let Your name be glorified through their testimony. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
