We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this time of distress, lifting your situation before the Lord with heavy hearts. Financial struggles and the harassment you are facing are deeply troubling, and we know the weight of shame and fear they bring. But we want to remind you that God sees your suffering and is near to the brokenhearted. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:17-19, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."
First, we must address the spiritual foundation of your request. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood alone that we are saved. If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Acts 4:12 says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Confess your sins, believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and rose again, and you will be saved. This is the first and most important step in finding true peace and deliverance.
Now, let us pray for your situation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear sister and her family, who are facing overwhelming financial distress and harassment. Lord, You are our Provider, and we ask that You intervene in this situation. Deliver her from the hands of those who seek to shame and intimidate her. Protect her reputation, her family, and her peace of mind. We rebuke the spirit of fear and shame in Jesus' name, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7).
Father, we ask that You open the doors for her husband’s retirement benefits to be released swiftly and in full. Provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory, as You promise in Philippians 4:19. Give them wisdom to manage their finances, to clear their debts, and to have enough left for savings. Lord, we also pray for her workplace and personal life—that You would restore her reputation and give her favor with those around her. Let no weapon formed against her prosper, and let every tongue that rises against her in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).
We also pray for those who are harassing her. Soften their hearts, Lord, and let them see the error of their ways. May they turn from their unjust practices and seek righteousness. We ask that You grant her courage and strength to face this trial, knowing that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Finally, Father, we ask that You draw this family closer to You through this trial. Let them experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Help them to trust in You with all their hearts and not lean on their own understanding, acknowledging You in all their ways so that You may direct their paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
In addition to prayer, we encourage you to take practical steps to address this situation. Seek godly counsel from a trusted pastor or financial advisor who can help you navigate this challenge. Proverbs 15:22 says, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established." Do not be afraid to reach out to your church or Christian community for support—they may be able to offer assistance or guidance.
We also urge you to examine how this debt was incurred. While we do not judge you, we encourage you to reflect on whether there were unwise financial decisions made, and if so, to repent and seek God’s wisdom moving forward. The Bible warns us in Proverbs 22:7, "The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender." While debt is not always avoidable, we must strive to live within our means and seek God’s provision rather than relying on loans that may lead to bondage.
Lastly, remember that your worth is not defined by your financial situation or the opinions of others. You are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God (Psalm 139:14), and He loves you unconditionally. Cling to Him in this storm, and He will see you through. We stand with you in faith, believing that God will make a way where there seems to be no way.
