We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you and your family up in prayer, seeking His mercy, protection, and provision in this difficult time. Financial struggles and harassment can weigh heavily on the soul, but we know that our God is a refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We rebuke the spirit of fear, oppression, and shame in the name of Jesus Christ, for He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
First, we want to address the harassment you are facing from these loan app people. The Bible is clear that we are not to oppress or mistreat one another, especially those who are in debt. "The wicked borrow and don’t pay back, but the righteous show mercy and give" (Psalm 37:21). While you have a responsibility to repay what you owe, these people have no right to harass, threaten, or shame you. We pray that God would intervene on your behalf, softening their hearts and causing them to act with justice and mercy. We ask the Lord to blind their eyes to your personal information, to confuse their plans, and to protect you and your family from their threats. May the Lord arise and scatter His enemies, shielding you from their schemes (Psalm 68:1).
Father, we ask that You would provide a way out of this financial burden. You are the God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and nothing is too hard for You. Open doors of provision—whether through employment, wisdom in managing resources, or unexpected blessings—that will enable you to settle this debt honorably. Give you and your husband wisdom to navigate this situation with integrity, and may the Lord rebuke any spirit of greed or exploitation that seeks to harm you. "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19).
We also lift up the issue of your husband’s medical certificate and retirement benefits. This is a matter of justice, and we know that God is a God of justice who executes righteousness for the oppressed (Psalm 103:6). We pray that the Lord would move on the hearts of those responsible for releasing these documents, that they would act with urgency and integrity. May any delays or obstacles be removed, and may the funds owed to you be released swiftly. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand in faith that this situation will be resolved according to God’s perfect timing.
Lord, we also pray for the restoration of your reputation in your office, family, and society. The enemy may seek to bring shame and embarrassment, but we declare that your identity is found in Christ, not in the opinions of others. "For you are bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s" (1 Corinthians 6:20). We ask that the Lord would cleanse any false perceptions and replace them with His truth. May your life reflect the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23)—so that others may see Christ in you. We rebuke any spirit of gossip, slander, or judgment that may be circulating, and we pray that God would turn the hearts of those around you toward grace and understanding.
We must also address the importance of seeking the Lord’s guidance in all areas of life, including financial decisions. The Bible warns us about the dangers of debt and the importance of living within our means. "Owe no one anything, except to love one another" (Romans 13:8). We encourage you to seek godly counsel, perhaps through a trusted pastor or financial advisor, to help you create a plan to manage your finances in a way that honors God. This may involve making sacrifices, but remember that "godliness with contentment is great gain" (1 Timothy 6:6). Trust in the Lord’s provision, and do not lean on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Finally, we want to remind you that your hope is in Jesus Christ alone. It is through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood that we are redeemed. If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life fully to Him, confessing your sins and trusting in His sacrifice for your salvation. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and He is your ultimate source of peace, provision, and protection.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of compassion for our sister in Christ. We ask that You would surround her and her family with Your hedge of protection, shielding them from the harassment and threats of those who seek to harm them. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear and shame in the name of Jesus, and we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. Provide for their needs, Father, and open doors of opportunity for them to settle their debts honorably. Move on the hearts of those who hold her husband’s medical certificate and retirement benefits, and let justice be done swiftly.
Lord, we also pray for the restoration of their reputation. Cleanse any false perceptions and replace them with Your truth. Let their lives reflect Your love and grace, so that others may see You in them. Give them wisdom in managing their finances, and help them to trust in You alone for their provision. We ask that You would draw them closer to You, deepening their faith and reliance on Your promises.
Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Christ Jesus. We trust that You are working all things together for their good, and we declare that this trial will not break them but will instead strengthen their faith. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
