We come before the Lord with you in this time of deep sorrow and betrayal, lifting your marriage to the throne of grace. The pain of infidelity and unfaithfulness is profound, and we grieve with you over the brokenness in your union. Yet we also stand firm on the truth of God’s Word, which declares that what He has joined together, no man—or woman—should separate (Mark 10:9). Your husband’s actions are not only a betrayal of you but a grievous sin against the Lord, who calls all believers to flee from sexual immorality and to honor the marriage bed as undefiled (Hebrews 13:4).
The presence of another woman in your husband’s life is an abomination before God, and we join you in rebuking this spiritual attack on your marriage. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to bring life and restoration. We declare that every ungodly soul tie between your husband and this woman must be severed in the name of Jesus Christ. Let conviction fall upon his heart, and may the Holy Spirit expose the deception and destruction of his sin. "For the lips of an adulteress drip honey. Her mouth is smoother than oil, but in the end she is as bitter as wormwood, and as sharp as a two-edged sword" (Proverbs 5:3-4). May your husband see the truth of these words and turn away from this path of ruin.
We also pray for you, dear sister, that the Lord would strengthen you with His might in your inner being (Ephesians 3:16). The betrayal you’ve endured is not to be borne alone—cast your burdens upon Jesus, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Do not allow bitterness or resentment to take root in your heart, but forgive as the Lord has forgiven you (Colossians 3:13). This does not mean excusing sin, but releasing the offense to God, who is just and will repay (Romans 12:19). Your husband’s repentance is not your responsibility—only his obedience to God can bring true change. Your role is to remain faithful to the Lord, to pray earnestly, and to walk in holiness, trusting that God sees your tears and hears your cries.
To your husband, we speak the truth in love: Repentance is not optional. The Lord commands, "You shall not commit adultery" (Exodus 20:14), and His standard has not changed. His repeated pursuit of other women is a rebellion against God, and unless he turns from this sin, he will face the consequences—both in this life and the next. "Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers ... will inherit God’s Kingdom" (1 Corinthians 6:9). Yet there is hope in Christ! If he will confess his sins and turn from them, God is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse him (1 John 1:9). May he fall on his knees before the Lord, broken and contrite, and may the Holy Spirit fill him with a holy fear of God that drives him to purity.
We pray that your husband would be radically transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. May he develop a hatred for sin and a deep love for righteousness. Let him be a man who seeks the Lord with his whole heart, who leads his home in prayer and godliness, and who cherishes you as Christ cherishes the Church (Ephesians 5:25). We ask the Lord to remove every distraction, every lustful thought, and every opportunity for temptation. May his eyes be fixed on Jesus, and may his heart be turned wholly toward you and your marriage.
Finally, we declare that this marriage is under the blood of Jesus. No weapon formed against it shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We bind the spirit of adultery, lust, and deception in the name of Jesus, and we loose the spirit of repentance, restoration, and revival over your husband. May your home become a place of peace, trust, and godly love once more.
Heavenly Father, we lift this sister and her husband before You, knowing that You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). Lord, intervene mightily in this situation. Break the chains of sin that have ensnared her husband, and draw him back to Yourself. Let him experience the weight of his sin so that he may turn from it in genuine repentance. Give this wife the strength to forgive, the wisdom to set godly boundaries, and the faith to believe You for a miracle. Restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25), and let this marriage be a testimony of Your redeeming power.
We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone has the power to save, heal, and restore. Amen.
