Disciple of Prayer
Dear God, I pray that You will intercede for my son's behaviour and help him to see the positive part of lives. Help him to be motivated in his studies and do not fear of failures.

It has been 6 months since he has changed. I am helpless and I pray God to transform him so that my son is back to his usual self and stay motivated to complete his secondary education and not thinking of dropping out.

We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, knowing that God’s power is made perfect in our weakness and that He alone can transform hearts and minds. It is encouraging that you are turning to the Lord in this time of struggle, for He is the One who can bring hope and restoration where there seems to be none. We also notice that while you have directed your prayer to God, you have not invoked the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence, for Scripture tells us, *"There is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). Jesus Himself said, *"No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9, WEB). It is in His name that we pray and find our strength.

The adversary seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10, WEB), and it is clear that he is attempting to derail your son’s future by filling him with fear, apathy, or distraction. But we serve a God who is greater, and we know that *"the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds"* (2 Corinthians 10:4, WEB). Your son’s struggle is not just against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces, and we must stand firm in prayer, claiming victory in Christ.

We are reminded of the story of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32, where a young man wandered far from his father’s house, squandering his inheritance in reckless living. Yet when he returned, broken and repentant, his father ran to meet him with open arms. Your son, too, can return to the path of righteousness and purpose. The Lord is faithful, and He is able to restore what has been lost. *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB). Let us trust that God is working even now, drawing your son back to Himself.

It is also important to examine whether there are any ungodly influences in your son’s life—whether through friendships, media, or other distractions—that may be contributing to his change in behavior. *"Don’t be deceived! ‘Evil companionships corrupt good morals’"* (1 Corinthians 15:33, WEB). If there are relationships or habits that are pulling him away from God’s will, we pray that the Lord would expose them and give your son the strength to turn away. Encourage him to surround himself with godly influences, whether through a faithful church community, mentors, or Christian friends who can spur him on toward love and good works (Hebrews 10:24, WEB).

As for his studies, we know that *"whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men"* (Colossians 3:23, WEB). Let us pray that your son would see his education as an opportunity to glorify God, using the gifts and mind that the Lord has given him. Fear of failure can be paralyzing, but we serve a God who has not given us a spirit of fear, *"but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). May the Lord replace his fear with faith, knowing that *"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me"* (Philippians 4:13, WEB).

We also encourage you to continue to be a light in your son’s life, speaking truth in love and demonstrating the patience and kindness of Christ. *"Fathers, don’t provoke your children to anger, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord"* (Ephesians 6:4, WEB). Your role as a parent is vital, and even in moments of frustration, let your words and actions reflect the love of Christ. Remember that *"a gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger"* (Proverbs 15:1, WEB).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this mother and her son. Lord, You see the struggles and the heartache, and You know the plans You have for this young man—plans for welfare and not for evil, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB). We ask that You would break every chain of fear, apathy, and distraction that has bound him these past six months. Lord, restore unto him the joy of his salvation and a hunger for Your Word. Renew his mind and give him a spirit of diligence in his studies, that he may walk in the purpose You have for him.

We rebuke every scheme of the enemy that seeks to derail his future. No weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17, WEB). Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may have the strength to resist temptation and the wisdom to choose godly friendships. Surround him with mentors and believers who will encourage him in his faith and studies.

Lord, we ask that You would give this mother the words to speak and the patience to endure. Let her be a living testimony of Your love and grace in her son’s life. Help her to trust in You, even when she cannot see the way forward.

We declare that this son will not be a dropout but a warrior for Your kingdom, equipped and ready for the plans You have for him. Let him rise up with a renewed mind and a steadfast heart, knowing that his strength comes from You. May he seek You first in all things, and may his life bring glory to Your name.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for the victory that is already won through Jesus Christ. It is in His precious and holy name we pray, Amen.

We're here with you, sister, praying alongside you for your son. It's been a tough six months, but remember, God is always faithful, even when we can't see the change we long for. He's working behind the scenes, even now, to bring your son back to the path of purpose and motivation.

Let's claim these promises together:

- "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit" (Psalm 34:18). Trust that God is drawing your son back to Him, even in his struggles.

- "No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper" (Isaiah 54:17). The enemy may be trying to derail your son's future, but God is greater. His plans will not succeed.

- "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13). Encourage your son to put his faith in Jesus, who will give him the strength to overcome fear and face his studies with confidence.

Let's continue to pray, believing that God will transform your son's heart and renew his mind. He will rise up with a steadfast heart, ready to fulfill the purpose God has for him. Trust in the Lord, and let's watch in faith as He works in your son's life.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred privilege of lifting your son before the Lord alongside you these past several days. It has been our honor to stand in agreement with you, crying out for his heart, his mind, and his future—knowing that our God is mighty to save and transform even the most stubborn of struggles. We have prayed with you for his eyes to be opened to hope, for his spirit to be reignited with motivation, and for the fear of failure to be replaced with a godly confidence that comes from trusting in Christ alone.

We know how deeply this weighs on you as his mother, and we want you to know we have not forgotten. Six months of watching your son drift from who he once was is a heavy burden to carry, but you are not alone in this. The Lord sees your tears, hears your prayers, and is working even now in ways we cannot yet see. We encourage you to hold fast to the promise that He who began a good work in your son will be faithful to complete it—whether that completion comes in a single moment of breakthrough or through the steady, quiet work of the Holy Spirit over time.

If you’ve seen even the smallest shift in his attitude, a flicker of motivation, or a softening of his heart, we’d love for you to share it with us as a praise report. Sometimes, the answers come in subtle ways, and we want to rejoice with you over every victory, no matter how small. But if the struggle remains just as heavy, if the burden still feels unbearable, we urge you to post again and let us continue to contend for him in prayer. We will not grow weary in asking the Lord to move on his behalf, to surround him with godly influences, and to place a hedge of protection around his mind and his future.

In the waiting, we pray you feel the peace of God guarding your own heart, reminding you that you are a good mother who loves her son fiercely—and that your prayers are powerful and effective. Keep seeking the Lord, keep trusting Him with this precious child, and know that we are right here with you, believing for restoration and breakthrough.

May the Lord bless you with strength for each new day, with wisdom to know how to love and guide your son, and with an unshakable hope that His plans for your son’s life are good. We are praying for you both, in Jesus’ name.
