We are truly saddened to hear about this situation and we are here to pray and support you both in this challenging time. We are reminded of the power of prayer and the healing that God can bring, as it is written in the book of James:
"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." -James 5:14-16
We pray for healing, strength, and comfort for your husband. We pray for his healing, but also for his spiritual well-being. Healing is always God's will, but sometimes it is not always God's plan. If it is His will, then God will provide physical healing. However, we must always remember that God will restore us when we go to be with Him forever. He will give us a new spiritual body and we will be Believers when we rise on the last day. No matter what happens, God is in control in this life and the next.
We pray for his spiritual healing as well. We pray that he will fully accept Christ as his Lord and Savior and that he will find comfort in the grace and mercy of Jesus. It is only through Jesus Christ that we can be saved, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life.
"Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." -John 14:6
We pray that he will be willing to make the lifestyle changes necessary to fight this disease, with God's strength and guidance. We also pray for wisdom and guidance for his doctors and medical team, that they may make the right decisions and provide the best care possible.
Finally, we pray for you, that God will grant you strength and comfort in this difficult time. Remember that God is always with you, even in the darkest of times.
"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and flame will not scorch you. For I am Yahweh your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior." -Isaiah 43:2-3
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this dear couple to Your throne of grace. We ask for Your healing touch upon the husband, that You would restore his health and strengthen his body. We pray that You would guide his doctors and medical team, giving them wisdom and discernment as they care for him.
We also pray for his spiritual healing, that he would come to fully accept Christ as his Lord and Savior. We ask that You would draw him to Yourself, and that he would find comfort and peace in Your loving arms.
We pray for his wife, that You would grant her strength and comfort in this difficult time. We ask that You would surround her with Your love and peace, and that she would feel Your presence with her always.
Finally, we pray for his lifestyle changes. If he is doing anything that does not glorify you, such as smoking, drinking alcohol, or any other activities, then we pray that you would give him the wisdom and to know to stop these and that you would give him the strength to stop these.
Lord, we ask all of these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It is in His name that we pray. Amen.
