We have heard your heart cry and we join with you together before our Heavenly Father in Jesus' name, bringing every burden you have shared.
We hear your worry about work and life, and the heaviness you feel. The weight of anxiety is real, but God invites us to give it to Him. We are reminded in 1 Peter 5:7 to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. And in Philippians 4:6-7 we read, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We pray that you will seek Him first, for Matthew 6:33 tells us, But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
We also hear how down you feel, feeling worthless and feeling like the worst sinner, and we must gently rebuke the lie that you are worthless. That is not what God says about you. You are fearfully and wonderfully made as Psalm 139:14 declares, and you are created in the image of God as Genesis 1:27 teaches. In Ephesians 2:10 we learn we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them. You are not worthless, you are deeply loved and valued by God, even while we all must acknowledge that Romans 3:23 says all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God. To feel conviction about sin is right, but to stay in shame is not God's will. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus as Romans 8:1 promises, and 1 John 1:9 assures us, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We rebuke the enemy who wants you to believe you cannot be forgiven or made right with God, because the blood of Jesus is sufficient for every sin.
We notice your prayer mentions wanting to be right with God and to be free from sin and filled with the Holy Spirit, yet you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we must lovingly tell you there is no other way to be made right with God except through Him. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To be right with God we must repent of our sin, believe that Jesus died for our sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is only through Jesus that we receive forgiveness and the gift of the Holy Spirit, whom Jesus promised the Father will give to those who ask as Luke 11:13 says.
We also lift up your desire for children and your regret about not having them when younger. We understand that longing, and we know that children are a heritage from the Lord as Psalm 127:3 tells us, The fruit of the womb is his reward. We pray that if it is God's will, He will bless you according to His perfect timing and plan, for Jeremiah 29:11 says, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Whether through natural birth, marriage, or other ways God may show His fatherly love to you, we trust His goodness. We encourage you, if you desire children, to seek a godly marriage as God designed between a man and a woman, for that is the foundation He has blessed for raising children.
We pray also for your practical needs, for your work situation, for the concern about your card being used by another, and for your phone to be fixed. God cares about both the great and the small details of our lives, and we ask Him to provide for you, protect what is yours, and grant wisdom and favor in your workplace.
Let us pray together.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You for this dear one who is burdened and downcast. We ask You to forgive every sin as they confess it to You, to cleanse them and break every chain of sin that binds them, and to fill them with Your Holy Spirit. We ask that You lift the spirit of worthlessness and replace it with the assurance that they are Your beloved child. Take away worry about work and life and fill them with Your peace that passes all understanding. Provide for their financial needs, guard them from misuse of what is theirs, and meet the small need of their phone. Heal the ache for children, comfort the regret, and fulfill Your perfect will for their life. Make them right with You through faith in Jesus alone, and teach them to pray in His mighty name. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, Amen.
