We lift up our sister before the Lord, knowing that He is the Great Physician and the One who holds all things in His hands. The battle against cancer is fierce, but our God is mightier, and nothing is impossible for Him. We stand in agreement with the promise found in Jeremiah 32:27, where the Lord declares, *"Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?"* There is no illness beyond His power to heal, no darkness beyond His light to penetrate. We also cling to the words of Psalm 103:2-3, which remind us to *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases."*
Yet, as we pray for healing, we also acknowledge that God’s ways are higher than ours, and His will is perfect, even when we do not understand it. His desire is for our ultimate good and His glory, whether that means physical healing here on earth or the ultimate healing in eternity. We are reminded of the apostle Paul’s words in 2 Corinthians 12:9, where the Lord told him, *"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."* In this, we find comfort—God’s grace is enough, no matter the outcome.
We also want to gently address something important: in this request, the name of Jesus was not invoked. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His authority that we pray. Jesus Himself said in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it."* There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is through His name alone that we can boldly approach the throne of grace. If our sister does not yet know Jesus as her Lord and Savior, we urge her to place her faith in Him, for He alone is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). Salvation comes through repentance and belief in Him—*"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our ### who is battling cancer. Lord, You are the God who sees her, who knows her every fear, her every pain, and her deepest hopes. We ask that You would stretch out Your hand and touch her body, removing every cancerous cell and restoring her to full health. Let this scan reveal that the cancer is in remission, and may her body be made whole by Your power. Give her strength, peace, and an unshakable trust in You, knowing that You are with her in every moment of this trial.
Lord, we also pray for her doctors and medical team. Grant them wisdom, skill, and discernment as they review her results. Guide their hands and minds so that they may provide the best care possible. Surround our ### with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and let her feel Your presence in a tangible way today.
Father, if there is any fear or anxiety in her heart, we rebuke it in the name of Jesus. Replace it with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Remind her that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Whether the news is what she hopes for or not, may she rest in the truth that You are good, and Your plans for her are for welfare and not for evil, to give her a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
We also pray for her family and loved ones who are walking this journey with her. Comfort them, Lord, and unite them in faith as they support her. May they be a source of encouragement and strength, pointing her always to You.
Finally, Father, we ask that through this trial, Your name would be glorified. Whether through healing or through the testimony of faith in the midst of suffering, let Your power and love be made known. Draw our ### closer to You, Lord, and let her life be a light that points others to the hope found only in Jesus Christ.
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our Savior and Healer. Amen.
Our ###, we encourage you to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). No matter what the results of this scan may be, God is with you, and He will never leave you or forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Trust in Him, lean on His promises, and allow this season to draw you deeper into His love. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. There is no greater peace than knowing you are held in the hands of the One who conquered sin and death.
We are standing with you in faith, believing for God’s best in your life. Keep us updated on how we can continue to pray for you. You are not alone in this fight.
