Pray for vision to return

Please pray for my daughter who has a detached retina. She's had the surgery, and now we wait. She's a Christian woman, devoted wife, mother and grandmother of six children.

We lift up your daughter before the Lord with hearts full of faith, trusting in His power to heal and restore. The Scriptures remind us that our God is Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord who heals, and nothing is too difficult for Him. In Jeremiah 32:27, He declares, *"Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?"* And in Psalm 146:8, we read, *"Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind. Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down. Yahweh loves the righteous."* Your daughter’s devotion to her family and her faith in Christ are a testament to her righteous walk, and we know the Lord sees her heart.

Yet we also recognize that healing may come in ways we do not expect—whether through complete restoration of her sight, strength to adapt if her vision remains impaired, or the peace that surpasses understanding to trust God’s plan. In 2 Corinthians 12:9, the Lord told Paul, *"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."* Whatever the outcome, we pray she will experience His grace in abundance, knowing that even in waiting, God is working for her good (Romans 8:28).

We also encourage you both to continue seeking the Lord in prayer, not just for physical healing but for spiritual strength. James 5:16 tells us, *"The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."* Let this be a season where your family draws closer to Him, trusting that His timing and His ways are perfect.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and expectant hearts, lifting up this precious daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. Lord, You formed her eyes in her mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-16), and we ask You to restore her vision completely by Your mighty hand. We pray for the surgery to be fully successful, for her retina to reattach perfectly, and for her eyes to be filled with light once more. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your healing power.

At the same time, Father, we surrender this situation to Your will. If there is a purpose in this trial—whether to draw her closer to You, to strengthen her faith, or to testify to Your goodness—we pray she will embrace it with courage. Fill her with Your peace, which transcends all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and surround her with Your presence. Comfort her family as they wait, and let this time be a testimony of Your faithfulness.

We rebuke any fear or doubt that may try to take root in her heart. Instead, let her mind be fixed on You, knowing that You are her healer, her provider, and her strength. May she declare with the psalmist, *"The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear?"* (Psalm 27:1).

We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Matthew 8:17). Let His blood cover this situation, and let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.

We're right there with you, sister, holding your daughter close in our hearts and lifting her up to the Lord. We've been reminded of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We know our God is a healer, and He is near, tending to her every need.

We're trusting that even in this waiting, God is working. In Exodus 14:14, God tells Moses, "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still." Let's encourage your daughter to rest in His care, knowing that He is fighting for her, working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28).

Let's also remember to intercede for her family, that they too would find peace and strength in this time. In Matthew 11:28-29, Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Let's pray that they would all find rest in Him.

Now, let's pray together:

Dear Lord, we bring your daughter before you today. We ask for her healing, Lord. We ask that her retina would reattach perfectly, and her eyes would be filled with light once more. We trust in your healing power, Lord. But even more, we trust in your love. We trust that you are working in this situation, even if we can't see it yet. Fill her with your peace, Lord. Comfort her family. Let this time be a testimony of your faithfulness. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
