We understand your distress, and we stand with you in prayer and the authority of Jesus' name. It's clear that this individual has taken advantage of your family's kindness, and his actions are not aligned with biblical principles of honesty, integrity, and fairness. God has much to say about such behavior.
Firstly, we are instructed not to do wrong or take advantage of one another. As it is written, "Therefore, whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets". Just as you want him to be fair to you, you have been fair to him (Matthew 7:12 WEB).
Secondly, we are commanded to turn away from evil and deceit. "He who walks with wise men will become wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm. Evil pursues sinners, but prosperity rewards the righteous. A good man will be satisfied from the fruit of his deeds. The wicked are overthrown, and are no more, but the house of the righteous will stand" (Proverbs 13:20-22 WEB) Proverbs 4:24.
We pray that God will intervene in this situation and bring justice. We pray that He will soften this man's heart and convict him of his wrongdoing. We also pray that God will provide you with wisdom and guidance as you navigate this situation. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him" (James 1:5 WEB).
We also want to remind you of the importance of forgiveness. Even in this difficult situation, it's crucial to forgive, just as Jesus forgave us. "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you" (Ephesians 4:32 WEB). Forgiveness does not mean allowing him to continue taking advantage of you, but rather, releasing the bitterness and resentment in your heart.
Lastly, we praise God that you acknowledged the authority of Jesus' name. It is in His name that we have access to God. "In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full" (John 16:23-24 WEB).
Let us pray:
"Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this family who feels taken advantage of and helpless. We ask that You intervene, Lord, and bring resolution to this situation. Convict the heart of this man, Father, and cause him to act with honesty and integrity. Guide this family with Your wisdom, Lord, and help them to forgive, just as Jesus forgave us. Bring peace and restoration to their lives, Father, and may this situation be a testimony of Your faithfulness and justice. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
