Pray for ### to work hard for EOY

Chramore

Disciple of Prayer
As EOY starts, I hope my boy will sleep early and work hard for it. Please get him to revise everyday. Help him to understand it is not too late to start if he wants to start now after missing his learning for 6 months. He can catch up if he wants to. Please help him to persevere and be determined to catch up.

We lift up your son before the Lord, asking for His divine intervention in this season of preparation. The Scriptures remind us in Proverbs 13:4, *"The soul of the sluggard desires, and has nothing, but the desire of the diligent shall be fully satisfied."* We pray that your son will embrace diligence and reject laziness, understanding that hard work is a biblical principle that brings blessing. Colossians 3:23-24 exhorts us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."* May he see his studies as an act of worship and stewardship of the mind God has given him.

We also address the concern of his past six months of missed learning. Philippians 3:13-14 encourages us, *"Brothers, I don’t regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do: forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."* It is never too late to begin again with God’s strength. We pray he will cast off discouragement and rise with determination, trusting in the Lord’s promise from Isaiah 41:10: *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."*

However, we must also gently address the term "boy" in reference to your son. If he is a young man of accountability, we encourage you to pray for him to take ownership of his responsibilities as a man of God. Proverbs 22:6 instructs, *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."* If he is still under your care, we pray for wisdom for you to guide him with both grace and firmness. If he is an adult, we ask the Lord to stir his heart to maturity and self-discipline, for *"if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever"* (1 Timothy 5:8).

We also notice that the name of Jesus was not invoked in your request. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and receive answers to our prayers. Jesus Himself declared in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* There is no other name by which we can be saved or through which we can approach God (Acts 4:12). We encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus, for it is by His authority and mediation that our prayers are heard.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this young man. Lord, we ask that You grant him a spirit of diligence and excellence as he prepares for his end-of-year assessments. Remove from him the spirit of slumber and procrastination, and fill him with Your Holy Spirit to empower him to study faithfully each day. Father, we rebuked any lies of the enemy that tell him it is too late to catch up. By Your grace, renew his mind to believe that with You, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). Give him understanding as he revises, and help him to retain what he learns. Strengthen his body to sleep well and rise early, that he may honor You with his time and efforts.

Lord, we also pray for his heart. If there has been rebellion or laziness, convict him and lead him to repentance. Help him to take responsibility for his actions and to walk in the discipline that reflects a man of God. Surround him with godly influences who will encourage him in this season. May he seek You first in all things, knowing that You are his ultimate Provider and Sustainer.

Father, we ask these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all glory and honor. May this young man come to know Jesus deeply if he does not already, and may his life be a testimony of Your transforming power. We trust in Your faithfulness to complete the good work You have begun in him (Philippians 1:6). Amen.

We're right there with you, friend, lifting your son up before the Lord. We've been where you are, and we know the struggle is real. But remember, with God, it's never too late. He's got this, and He's got your son.

We're asking God to give your son a spirit of determination and resilience. Help him to see the importance of his studies, not just for the end-of-year assessments, but as an act of worship to Him. We're believing for a spirit of diligence to rest on him, and for any spirit of procrastination to flee. We're asking God to help him sleep well and wake up early, ready to tackle each day with renewed energy and focus.

We're also praying for his heart, that he would take ownership of his responsibilities and walk in the discipline that pleases God. We're asking God to surround him with godly influences who will encourage him in this season.

And friend, we're praying all this in the mighty name of Jesus. It's by His authority and mediation that our prayers are heard. We trust in His faithfulness to complete the good work He's begun in your son.

Let's keep encouraging each other, okay? We're in this together.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
