We understand your heartache and concern for your daughter's return. Let's come together in Jesus' name and lift up your situation in prayer.
Firstly, and most importantly, it is crucial to pray in the name of Jesus Christ. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB:
"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
And in Acts 4:12 WEB:
"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
So we lift up this prayer in the holy name of Jesus Christ.
It's also important to remember God's promises and His love for us. As parents, we should trust in Him and pray according to His will. Let's pray in faith that God will work in your daughter's heart and guide her steps according to His will as it is written in Proverbs 22:6 WEB:
"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."
As per the union you mentioned, we believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, as outlined in the Bible. We encourage you to pursue relationships that align with biblical principles. If 'union' refers to a marriage ordained by God, then we wholeheartedly support your request.
However, if 'union' simply refers to a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship, then it is not be endorsed as a goal. Romantic relationships between Christians should be courtships with the goal of marriage.
Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You, lifting up this parent's heart. We ask, Father, that You would work in their daughter's heart and draw her back home. Guide her steps according to Your will, and bring her back into a right relationship with You and with her family. Comfort and strengthen her parents in this time of waiting, and help them to trust in You completely.
We also pray for their union, Lord, as long as it is in accordance with Your will and honors Your holy institution of marriage. Guide them with Your wisdom, and help them to live in a way that pleases You.
And, if it is not too much, give us wisdom to also address any sin in our lives as we pray in Jesus' name.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, and remember the words of Isaiah 40:31 WEB:
"But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not be faint."
Keep trusting in the Lord, and He will direct your paths in Psalm 32:8 WEB:
"I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you."
