Since the job is open by God forcefully and Jesus shit the previous job and said it was good so I will do it as poor as possible to make it shut and to prove to God that his plans are not necessary good and we do not need to submit to your stupid will.

The words spoken here reveal a heart in rebellion against the Lord, using profanity and defiance where reverence and submission should be. The Bible warns us in Proverbs 19:3, "The foolishness of man subverts his way; his heart rages against Yahweh." This is not a prayer, it is a declaration of resistance against God’s sovereignty, and it must be addressed with both truth and compassion.

First, we must rebuke the spirit of defiance and blasphemy in this message. The name of Jesus is not to be taken in vain, nor is His will to be mocked or tested. Scripture is clear in Hebrews 10:31, "It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God." To deliberately sabotage a job, one you claim God opened, with the intent to "prove" Him wrong is not only foolish but dangerous. It is an act of pride, and Proverbs 16:18 warns, "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall."

We must also address the misunderstanding of God’s goodness. You suggest that His plans may not be "necessarily good," but Romans 8:28 declares, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." God’s will is not "stupid", it is perfect, holy, and designed for your ultimate good, even when it does not align with your immediate desires. To resist Him is to resist the very One who holds your life in His hands.

Most critically, this message reveals a heart that may not truly know Jesus as Lord and Savior. Salvation comes only through repentance and faith in Christ, as Acts 4:12 states, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If you have not surrendered your life to Him, now is the time. The rebellion in your words suggests a need for genuine repentance and a turning away from sin.

Let us pray for you now, not as you have asked, but as God leads us:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, grieved by the rebellion and defiance we see in these words. Lord, we know that You are holy, just, and full of mercy. We ask that You would break the hardness of heart in this individual, that they would see the error of their ways and turn from their rebellion. Father, Your Word says in Ezekiel 36:26, "I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh." We pray for this transformation now.

Lord Jesus, we plead the blood of Jesus over this situation. We ask that You would reveal Yourself in power and truth, that this person would come to know You not just as a name to be cursed, but as the Savior who died for their sins. Soften their heart, Lord, and draw them to repentance. Help them to see that Your plans are for their good, not for their harm, and that true freedom is found in surrender to You.

Father, we also pray for protection over this individual. Rebellion opens the door to the enemy, and we ask that You would shut every door that has been opened to deception, bitterness, or destruction. Surround them with godly influences, people who will speak truth in love and point them back to You.

Lord, we ask that You would intervene in their work situation. If this job is not from You, reveal that truth and lead them to the path You have prepared. If it is from You, humble their heart to serve faithfully, not out of resentment, but out of love for You. Teach them to trust in Your sovereignty, even when they do not understand Your ways.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved. May Your will be done in this situation, and may this individual come to know the peace that surpasses all understanding. Amen.

We urge you to lay down your pride and anger before the Lord. Psalm 51:17 says, "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise." God is not your enemy, He is your Creator, your Redeemer, and the only One who can bring true fulfillment to your life. Turn to Him now, repent of your rebellion, and seek His face. He is waiting with open arms.

We read your words and could feel the heat behind them. It’s clear you’re carrying a weight of hurt and frustration that feels crushing, like God pulled a bait-and-switch, and now you’re left with nothing but resentment. That kind of pain is real, and we don’t want to pretend it isn’t.

Sometimes anger like this acts like a dashboard warning light: it flares up to tell us that something deeper is wounded. Underneath the desire to “prove” something to God might sit a sense of betrayal, powerlessness, or grief you haven’t had room to name yet. We get that. But we’ve also seen that nursing bitterness, even when it feels justified, tends to burn the one holding it more than the one it’s aimed at. Deliberately doing a poor job won’t bring the relief you’re aching for, it’s more likely to add a fresh layer of emptiness on top of an already heavy pile.

What if you took the raw, unfiltered version of all this straight to God, not as a debate to win, but as an honest cry? Tell Him you’re furious, that His plans feel cruel right now, that you’re struggling to trust anything He allows. He can handle that. And maybe in that honesty, the real fear or sorrow behind the anger can start to surface, and begin to heal. You might also consider talking with a wise Christian friend or pastor who can walk beside you without preaching, just listening and helping you sort through the wreckage.

Lord, we lift up this person to You, full of pain, anger, and confusion. You see the struggle, and You aren’t scared of it. Quiet the storm inside, and gently uncover whatever hurt is driving this. Replace the bitterness with even a sliver of hope, and help them find a safe place to process it all. Restore what has been broken, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

What a terrible thing it is that a soul should speak so proudly against the Most High! You say you will do your work poorly to spite God and prove His will is not good. Do you not know that you contend against Omnipotence? Can a potsherd strive with its maker? The very breath in your lungs is lent to you by the God you revile. If He were to withdraw His hand, you would drop into hell in an instant. Yet you set yourself to rebel, as though you were the captain of your own fate. You are but a creature of yesterday, and your defiant resolve is as the crackling of thorns under a pot, a noise and a flash, and then nothing.

You say the former job was shut by God and you intend to make this one a failure. But consider: is it the Lord who will suffer loss? No, it is your own soul. You will eat the fruit of your doings, and your bitterness will only increase. If you do your work poorly, you will rob your employer, starve your integrity, and sear your conscience. And all to what end? To prove to God that you need not submit to His will? As if the moth could damage the Sun by flying into the flame!

God’s will is good, and perfect, and acceptable. His ways are not your ways, but they are higher. He led you from one place of labour to another, no doubt for wise purpose, perhaps to teach you dependence upon Him, or to humble your pride, or to bring you to an end of yourself that you might seek His face. But you have set your neck like an iron sinew and will not bow. You are like the bullock unaccustomed to the yoke, kicking against the goad, only to wound yourself.

Oh, why will you trust your own way? It is the pathway to destruction. Your heart is full of enmity, and that enmity will not hurt God, it will only plunge you into deeper darkness. You cannot make His plans to fail, but you can make shipwreck of your own soul. The Lord is not mocked; whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. You sow defiance, you will reap despair.

Yet listen: there is mercy even for such a rebel. The Lord Jesus Christ came to save sinners, even the chief of them, yes, even those who have cursed His name and despised His will. Your very anger against God reveals your misery. You are like a wild bull in a net, raging and tearing yourself. But there is a hand that can loose you. God does not cast off forever. He has compassion on the ignorant and on them that are out of the way. If you will turn from your sin, confess your bitter spirit, and fall upon the blood of Jesus, you will find pardon full and free.

Will you still say, "I will not submit"? Then I must warn you: the Lord will have the last word. Every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess. It is far better to bend willingly now than to be broken in the day of His wrath. He who hardens his neck after many reproofs shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.

But I pray you, fling down your weapons. There is no wisdom in fighting against God. Trust His Son, who died for the ungodly. When you trust Christ, you will find that His will is not a tyranny but a perfect law of liberty. You will then say with your whole heart, "Not my will, but Thine be done." The Lord incline you to so yield this very hour, lest you perish in your stubbornness.

You speak of anger against God’s will as though it were a righteous protest, but anger was not planted in you to war against your Maker. It is a sting given to rouse you against your own sins, to make you gnash your teeth at the devil, not to set you in array against the Lord who redeemed you. What you call a “forceful” opening of a job is not a cruelty but a calling. God willed that you should be in this place, not because you deserved it, but because it pleased Him to work out your salvation through it. To purposefully do your work poorly in order to prove His plans are not good is to turn your hands from building to destroying, and such hands are rightly cut off.

Bitterness like this devours from within. It starts with wrath, which leads to clamor, then railing, and at last to spiritual death. You say you will do the job “as poor as possible” to make it shut, this is not a small thing; it is malice that grieves the Holy Spirit. Where is the gain? You will only bring harm upon yourself, for the one who keeps anger burning draws down God’s sentence, not vindication. The wound you wish to inflict on God’s will never reaches heaven; it tears open your own soul instead.

Consider the example of our Lord. When He faced the cross, He did not cry out against the Father’s plan. He said that if He wished, He could pray and receive legions of angels, but He submitted so that the Scriptures might be fulfilled, and that you and I might be saved. His way was trust, not rebellion. If even He, who had power to call down heaven, yielded to the Father’s will, how can a creature stand and shout that his own designs are better?

You have asked the Church to pray that your rebellion succeed. This cannot be. What you ask is not a prayer but a curse upon your own head. Instead, let us pray that you may put away all bitterness and malice, that your tongue may be tamed and your heart humbled. Ask God to turn your anger upon your pride, to scourge your conscience, and to teach you that His will is your peace. For if you are at peace with Him, you need no other vindication. Submit, then, and find rest for your soul.

What you are describing is not just frustration. It’s a declaration of war. When you say “I will” in direct opposition to what you believe God’s will to be, you are stepping onto the most dangerous ground in the universe. That was the exact posture of the original rebellion: “I will ascend… I will be like the Most High.” It begins with setting your will against His, and it never ends where you think it will. You are not proving a point to God. You are reenacting the oldest and most tragic story of creation.

Your pain is clear, and the wound of having a door shut by force is real. Trust is easy when the way makes sense to us. But when the path is ripped away and all you can see is ruin, that is the very moment trust is actually tested. If we only trust Him when life is sweet and we understand the plan, that isn’t trust at all. The question is: will you trust Him when you don’t understand? Will you commit your life into His hands when His wisdom seems hidden?

You are setting out to do a poor job, to make things shut down, hoping to show God that His plans are not good. But you have to see the inevitable destruction in that decision. Rebellion always has its own consequences. It’s like insisting on going down to Egypt for help. It feels like a strong, practical response, but God says it will not profit you. Relying on your own strategy of defiance, trusting in this angry action of the flesh, will fail you. It will only multiply the wreckage.

The truth is, your life is not your own. Even in this upheaval, this is an opportunity to cast this burden on the Lord and find that He sustains you. The promise is not that everything will feel good, but that He answers. He says, “Because he has set his love upon me, therefore I will deliver him. I will be with him in trouble.” See the exchange here: you are proposing to set your will against Him. He is inviting you to set your love upon Him, even in the trouble. That is the difference between being surrounded by songs of deliverance and being consumed by your own bitterness.

Do not do this. The arrogancy of the proud will be laid low. You will not hurt God by performing poorly; you will only harm yourself and testify to a lack of trust in His faithfulness. God cannot fail. His covenant, sealed through Jesus Christ, is sure. He bore the wrath for all our rebellion, including the anger you are feeling now. Turn back from this. Instead of trying to sabotage the work as a monument to your resentment, lay this entire situation in His hands. Trust in His ability, not in your own weakness. Say with the psalmist, “What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.” That is the path to honor and deliverance, and it is far better than the desolation of fighting against the only one who can truly keep you.
