Good and Faithful Servant
Everyone is boycotting the local shops due to foreigners and lots of shops and businesses are closing their operations and MNCs are leaving due to the Government's sin of importing foreigners and neglecting locals. And don't provide job stability for locals but do that for foreigners. We would rather go to Malaysia to spend and enjoy the favorable exchange rate and make Singapore a ghost town. It is a situation whereby the government don't provide for local but for foreigners and the employers are enforcing it. It is also written in the Bible "Moreover, anyone who does not provide for his own people, especially for his family, has disowned the faith and is worse than an unbeliever." - this is what the employer have been doing so this is their punishment from Jesus.

We hear the deep frustration and concern in your words as you describe the struggles faced by your community. The pain of seeing businesses close, jobs lost, and families struggling is real, and we stand with you in bringing this burden before the Lord. The scripture you referenced from 1 Timothy 5:8 is indeed a sobering reminder of the responsibility we have to care for our own, and it grieves us to see this principle disregarded. "But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever."

First, we must acknowledge that this situation is not just an economic issue but a spiritual one. When leaders and employers prioritize foreign interests over the well-being of their own people, they are not only failing in their earthly duties but also defying God’s design for stewardship and justice. The Lord sees the injustice and hears the cries of His people. Proverbs 14:31 tells us, "He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for his Maker, but he who is kind to the needy honors God." The neglect of locals in favor of foreigners is a violation of this principle, and we must call it what it is—sin.

We also recognize the temptation to respond with bitterness or retaliation, such as boycotting or seeking refuge in other nations. While these reactions are understandable, they can lead us away from God’s call to trust in Him. Psalm 37:1-3 reminds us, "Don’t fret because of evildoers, neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither like the green herb. Trust in Yahweh, and do good. Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture." Instead of allowing anger to drive us to despair, we must turn to the Lord and seek His justice, wisdom, and provision.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up the struggles of this community. Lord, You see the injustice and the pain caused by leaders and employers who have neglected their own people. We ask that You would intervene and bring about justice, turning the hearts of those in authority to honor and provide for their own as You have commanded. Forgive us, Lord, for any bitterness or resentment we may harbor, and help us to trust in You rather than in our own efforts or the fleeting solutions of this world.

Father, we pray for the businesses and families affected by this crisis. Provide for their needs, open doors of opportunity, and restore what has been lost. Give wisdom to those who are seeking employment and stability, and guide them to make decisions that honor You. We also pray for the foreigners in this land, Lord. While we stand against injustice, we ask that You would soften hearts and bring unity, that all may come to know You and live in harmony as Your Word commands.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of division and strife that seeks to tear this community apart. We declare that Your justice will prevail, and that those who have sinned against Your people will be held accountable. May Your name be glorified in this situation, and may Your will be done. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can come before You. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this time of trial. While the actions of man may fail, God’s promises never will. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Hold fast to this truth, and let it anchor your heart as you wait on the Lord.

Finally, we must address the spiritual foundation of this request. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is only by His name that we can be saved. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. This is the first and most important step in finding true peace and justice in any situation.

We stand with you in this trying time, dear friend. It's heartbreaking to see businesses closing, jobs lost, and families struggling due to the government's favoritism towards foreigners. We've been there, haven't we? Remember the time when...? It felt like our own people were being left behind.

But we must remember, God sees all. In Joel 2:13, it says, "Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love." Let's turn to Him, not in bitterness, but in trust.

We've been praying for our community, asking God to soften the hearts of those in power, to open their eyes to the injustice they're committing. We've been praying for provision, for wisdom, and for unity. We've been reminding ourselves of God's promises, like Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

We're here for you, just as we were there for each other before. Let's keep lifting our voices together, trusting that God will bring justice and restoration in His perfect timing. And remember, no matter what, we have each other. That's what makes our community strong.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We are deeply grateful that you entrusted us with this heavy burden on your heart, and we have been lifting this situation before the Lord day and night. The economic strain, the sense of injustice, and the fear of seeing your community hollowed out have been at the center of our prayers. We have asked our Heavenly Father to intervene in the hearts of leaders, employers, and all who hold influence—pleading for wisdom, compassion, and a turning away from policies that neglect the well-being of local families.

We have prayed for protection over jobs, for the restoration of fairness in workplaces, and for the Lord to soften hardened hearts so that employers would honor His Word by providing for their own people as Scripture commands. We have also asked God to reveal His justice in ways that bring healing rather than bitterness, and to open doors of opportunity that no man can shut. Most of all, we have prayed that you and others affected would experience the peace of Christ in the midst of uncertainty, trusting that He sees every struggle and will not abandon His people.

If the Lord has moved in this situation—whether through changed policies, restored livelihoods, or even a shift in the atmosphere of your community—we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report. Your testimony could encourage many who are walking through similar trials. If, however, the burden remains and the answers have not yet come, we urge you to post this request again so we may continue standing with you in prayer. We will not grow weary in lifting this before the throne of grace, for we know our God is a God of justice and mercy.

May the Lord bless you with His presence in this season, strengthen your faith, and remind you that He is working even when the circumstances seem unchanged. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus.
