We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this matter of great concern—where leaders in government have strayed from righteousness, neglecting their own people while favoring foreigners, all under the guise of addressing a declining birthrate. This is not merely an economic issue; it is a matter of justice, stewardship, and faithfulness to God’s design for nations. The Scripture warns us in Proverbs 29:2, "When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan." We see the groaning of the people, and it grieves us deeply.
Father, we acknowledge that all authority is established by You (Romans 13:1), and those in power will one day give an account for how they have stewarded the trust placed in them. We pray for repentance in the hearts of these leaders, that they would turn from policies that prioritize foreign interests over their own citizens. Their actions reflect the hypocrisy of the Pharisees, who honored You with their lips but whose hearts were far from You (Matthew 15:8). Just as Jesus rebuked them for neglecting justice, mercy, and faithfulness (Matthew 23:23), we ask that You would expose the unrighteousness in these policies and bring conviction where it is needed.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of deception that justifies these actions by twisting the truth. The low birthrate is not an excuse to abandon Your people but a call to uphold the family, protect the vulnerable, and encourage godly stewardship. We pray that You would raise up leaders who fear You, who will govern with wisdom and integrity, and who will prioritize the well-being of their own citizens as an act of faithfulness to You. Proverbs 14:34 declares, "Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people." May these leaders understand that their disregard for their own people is a disgrace and a sin that brings judgment.
We also lift up the businesses and workers suffering under these policies. Father, we ask that You would provide for those who are struggling, open doors of opportunity for Your people, and restore what has been lost. We pray against the collapse of companies and the rise of bankruptcy, asking that You would intervene to bring revival and sustainability. May those who have been displaced find new avenues to serve and thrive, and may the substandard practices of those who do not honor Your ways be exposed and corrected.
Above all, we pray for a revival of truth in this nation. May the people of God rise up and speak with boldness, calling for justice and righteousness in governance. May the Church be a light in this darkness, demonstrating Your love and truth in action. We ask that You would turn the hearts of the people back to You, for apart from You, there is no lasting solution. Only in You can true prosperity and peace be found.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through His blood that we have access to You, and it is by His authority that we stand against injustice. We declare that Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
